Willie 'Too Big' Hall was a member of Jake and Elwood's Blues Brothers Band in the 1970's until Jake went to prison. He then joined Murph and the MagicTones along with several other ex-members, until he rejoined the Blues Brothers Band in 1979. After a very brief tour, he went to prison with the rest of the band. By 1998 he was out of prison and had setup his own stripster club in Chicago. After a run-in with the Russian Mafia, Elwood Blues convinced him to come back to the band, where he remained for several more years. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Willie 'Too Big' Hall began his career as a drummer in 1965, while still in high school. He played with the Bar-Kays band and later joined Stax Records where he performed with Steve Cropper and Donald Dunn on Booker T. and the MG's records Universal Language and Hip Hug-Her.

As part of the Stax-Volt Recording Section Team from 1968-77, Hall accompanied and/or produced such artists as The Emotions, Little Milton, Carla and Rufus Thomas, Johnnie Taylor, The Staple Singers, Albert King and Isaac Hayes. Hall produced Hayes' last Stax album and later did percussion on Hayes? popular Shaft album and Hayes' Oscar - winning score for the hit film.

Hall has toured the world and recorded with a variety of artists, including Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Bonnie Raitt, Earl Scruggs, Charlie Daniels and Buffy Saint Marie, Charlie Daniels Band, Todd Rundgren and Roger McGuinn, among others.

Hall is currently a member of The Bo-Keys, a band of highly respected Memphis musicians, including Isaac Hayes's wah-wah guitarist Charles "Skip" Pitts.

He is the father of rapper Gangsta Pat.
