Here's a cool old cop car. According to Allpar there were almost 300,000 1953 Cranbrook's built, not sure how many of them cop cars but here's a survivor. Just 5 miles north of Talladega Superspeedway.

Needs restoring..New never installed park light lens, plug wires, plugs, points, condenser, rotor button, distributor cap and 6 volt battery..Also Parts car to go with it...6 cylinder straight shift..WAS running when parked. $1,200.

And not to be outdone in the clone department are the folks in Concord, CA who have put together some amazing clones in the past. This 1970 Belvedere is no exception, she's a beauty. (magnet door decal not included)

Correct Plymouth "Dog Dish" Hubcaps Installed. CORRECT Police Package 1970 Plymouth Certified Police Speedometer cluster, all instruments work as they should. NEW Tires. Dual exhaust which sounds great. Very unusual and unique Unity Lightbar with vintage Signal Stat rotator, vintage siren speaker, alley light and red/amber lights. Unity spotlight installed on driver's side A-Pillar.

A civilian 318 but looking good at 41 years old. :eek:

This particular LTD has shown up before. 1984 P39 5.0 - claims it's an actual cop car.

Has all the Original Equipment. Siren works, lights work, PA System works, twin spot lights work. Rear cage Divider.

Not sure if it has a certified speedo or not, too bad he forgot to include that pic among the 21 he posted.

That was a good movie and is the reason that I try to put Raised White Letter tires on all of my vehicles.

That would make a great "white lightning" replica . It has the right interior color , but you would have to put a 4 speed shifter in it and leave the column shifter also . I had a 72 back in 87 that was a close replica , same chocolate brown but with a gold ish interior . Painted the wheels brown and put on some white lettered kelly chargers on it . Had the car for a year and 1 person realized what it looked like .

Nice engine! They seem to have kept it serviced well. That was one thing my Dad taught me when I learned to drive. He made me learn how to change a tire and perform basic maintenance on a car. His idea was that if I knew how to fix something if I broke down, he wouldn't have to come bail me out of a jam. Smart man my Daddy! Heck I even replaced the starter in our 1980 Ford Truck. My hubby was truly impressed with that. Once the cars got beyond my beloved Bertha, I'm afraid I wasn't too good at figuring out what went where with all that anti-smog junk. I made a quick sketch of what the starter looked like wired up and noted the colors and what not. I pulled the bad one out, hauled it into the auto parts store which is where I fortunately was when the starter gave out and proceeded to install the replacement. The only thing my hubby had to do when he got home was tighten everything up for me. I didn't have the proper tools with me to do it the right way but it got me home which then was a couple of streets over from the auto parts store. The only thing I know in the new ones is where to check the oil, the brake fluid and the anti-freeze LOL! Other than that, I'm clueless. There is no way I can change the oil in the new cars now. You have to have special wrenches to do that and I'll be damned if I'm paying inflated prices for a specialized tool!

Okay so it's not a 440 plant. A 440 will suck back on some gas don't forget. As much as I adore the Dodge Ram 1500 trucks with the 5.9 cubic Hemi's in it, I couldn't afford to pay for one let alone put gas in the sucker!

Who said anything about a 440? I'd settle for a 383.


A 318 in that car makes it criminally underpowered.

Oh and BTW; a 5.9 "Hemi" is a 318....

1972 Fury - PK41U...

Original forged crank 440 HP has been rebuilt and so has the HD 727. The rearend is an 8 3/4 3.23 open diff. The body and paint are done in correct VSP colors and the decals are authentic. There is absulutely no rust on this car. All of the police equipment are date coded VSP items. I'm looking for $13,000 but lets talk.
