Bluesmobile fender signal indicators

I have seen a lot of 74 Monaco blumo's done up and most have had the siganl light indicators mounted on the top of the front fenders. Did the real movie car have these ? It is hard to see from any pictures I have seen.

is some interesting info. Fender mounted turn signals, and idiot-light LEDs in the ammeter and fuel gauge were all part of a package. You could only get them all together (at least per the documentation). The bluesmobile clearly doesn't have LEDs in the instrument cluster in the lower-wacker-drive shot, which indicates that it shouldn't have fender mounted turn signals. And, indeed, other pictures show that the fenders don't have the turns signals on them.
I'm thinking of mixing it up and not having fender mounted turn signals, but having LEDs in the instrument cluster. How's that for wacky!

hehe, I think Mr. Mercer was suggesting having fender mounted turn signals for which the appropriate signal automatically raised into position during a turn, and then lowered out of sight after the turn. So there would be only one signal visible at a time. Wacky? Maybe. But it would be like the batmobile of bluesmobiles. I think the bluesmobile may have actually had this option. I don't think there are any shots in the movie of the bluesmobile fenders while the turn signal was on. I heard that the director carefully avoided the shots to keep the option secret.

That was an absolutely wacky post, Arthur. It appears to have registered in the 8.5 range.

I'm pretty sure what was being suggested here for Dugal's Monaco is to keep the passenger side fender turn signal intact, and the driver side fender turn signal is to be mounted on the driver side wiper arm. Should look great at night. In the rain.

Did you ever wonder how Jake's ex-fiancee could fire more than four rockets from a four-tube rocket launcher? There was a second shooter.
