IT is open to the public, but you might have to do a little searching for it. Judy wants fans to visit the grave. Say hi to John for me.

Matt, have you checked FindAGrave for info? Here's a link for ya. Hope this helps:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=77&pt=John%20Belushi

I remember that site from a few years back when I was trying to locate Stevie Ray Vaughan's grave site. Since then, FindAGrave has added a feature where you can leave "virtual" flowers for the dearly departed, along with a memorial note. It's nice that hundreds of people have posted messages remembering John at that site.

You'll want to get a map. Martha's Vineyard is a place in the state of Massachusetts. If you're visiting the Martha's Vineyard area, you'll be less than 15 miles from Chilmark, Mass. It's all on the same little island.

It says Judith Belushi requested that his body be moved to another un-marked graved in the cemetary because of an attempted grave robbing. :x Bastards.

I found like 5 graves, their is 2 in Martha's vineyard. 1 in NY. another in Chicago. I mean how many places can they buried a man, seriously. They say his body is burred near his parent's ranch, what the hell. I just wan to know weir his body is burred go their say a few words, do some singing and dancing. Then I am out of their, but I can't find it they say it's in an unmarked grave in the back of Martha's Vineyard, in the front at the entrance its crazy. We are still going to Martha's Vineyard and if his body ain't buried their by god I well still do what I said I was going to do. It's like in his will he had it written "instead of giving me 1 grave I want 4 different ones so fans well be all confused and pissed off when they try to find me mu ha ha ha." Way to go out with a bang john ha ha looking forward to seeing you.

The one in Cook County, Illinois is a cenotaph, which is a fancy word for a memorial marker. Cenotaphs are a common thing.

Hi guys,
You don't have to do any hard searching for John's grave anymore.
His grave is in the Abel's Hill Cemetery.
He was moved near the entrance to the cemetery so that the Cemetery staff can make sure that no one will take "liberties" at his grave.
Abel's Hill Cemetery is in Chilmark, Massachusetts on South Road just past N. Abel Hill Road.

Coordinates for the Cemetery:
Latitude: 41°20'55.63"N
Longitude: 70°42'34.81"W

If any of you has a GPS Locator, go inside the cemetery, stand at John's grave and get the GPS Coordinates and then get them back to me.
I hope to take a trip up there myself and hopefully within a couple of months.

I read somewhere (seemed credible) John is buried in Chicago with his parents. I don't have time to find it right now.

No, his cenotaph is in Chicago. A Cenotaph is a monument to a dead person whose remains are interred elsewhere.
