I think the saddest part of this movie was the fact that they re-visited everyone but Ray. I would love to have seen another song with Ray and the Brothers.

I don't know if paying homage is the right terminology. When Jake and Elwood both changed their surnames to Blues is when they took each other's first name as their middle name.

Yeah, but they didn't really use their middle name as an identification- maybe the sudden use was more for respect.
Or maybe I'm just all talk, with no real backing.
When in doubt, just think- "What would the Blues Brothers do?"

He was supposed to be in it, but apparently Ray Charles wanted too much money.
"Ray's Music Exchange" became "Ray's Love Exchange", which became "Ed's Love Exchange" :P

Cast way too big, story makes way too little sense. More music and less cheap gags and walk on guests, please.

The Zombie bits and the ending. I prefer a more resolute ending to the one we got. I mean, what happend with Elwood & Buster?

I agree I want to know what happened to Elwood and Buster. Did they get caught? Where did they go? What happened to the band? So many questions left with no answers!

As someone who's seen the movie several hundred times, I have to ask...

Can you be more specific?

Ray's Music Exchange is in BB2K, but there's nothing for Ray's Love Exchange in the movie that I can see.

Elwood & co. being turned into zombies.

No one makes my brotha' green. Green is not his color!!

I LOVED that song, though. I need Funky Nassau on my MP3 player. Damn those protected disks. :BB:

About the ending: It was SUPPOSED to end like that, folks. They become fugitives, and run away from the law together. http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum2/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif I think it was a wonderful ending.

Well, the worst part to me was when "the roomates" came on stage right before Elwood started "Cheaper To Keep Her". That song could have been done with just him and the band. Why do you have to have a bunch of half-dressed airheads doing absolutely nothing on stage to a legendary song like that?

Tsk...tsk...tsk...I just don't understand it :BB:

Oh, by the way...I hate to ask this, but who is Brother Zee?

Well, Willie's joint is not even a blues bar, it's a strip club. A girlie joint. All too normal that there should be girls. The men that came here, did so first for the girls they can ogle up, second for the music, legendary or not.

If the strippers had had some better wigs/outfits. I mean, I know strippers aren't the most well-dressed (or dressed much at all) people in the world, but even tacky would say that those getups were tacky. :(

Do you really think that the men that came to this strip club, did so for the wig/outfit stuff ? At this point I'd think they'd rather fancy what is inside the stuff ! LOL
(okay, that's true that fine lingerie can have a huge effect on them guys, we ladies all know that !)

I know several guys who don't go to certain (or any) strip clubs if the girls look weird to them. So yeah, some don't care, but some do.

Plus, it's Hollywood, you'd think they'd take their usual route and make the girls look better than your average stripper, and they went the other way with it. :\

Hi everyone, I wish you all could have seen the movie before they edited out a large amount of footage. And I mean a large amount. It was hysterical and made allot more sense of the story line. Maybe someday they'll release that lost footage. I was watching them edit it after the days shooting when I was there and there was some great things that never made the screen. Too bad. Thats show biz.

Like what for example ? I always had the feeling that somewhere the movie was... incomplete.

I would love an extended edition DVD. Deleted scenes and a blooper reel!
