Here's pics of the square and the original so you can see the difference:

Although on Elwood's that little 'ornament' on the left and right is actually vertical ...

I think that's one of the reasons why some feel that Elwood's shades were never Ray-Bans in the first place, but a knock-off of some sort. I'm not sure. Have we ever seen actual Ray-Bans with those little pieces in the vertical position?

I haven't,but I'm sure there's someone who may or may not have....
In the pics of Elwood you posted,I see a subtle difference, just not in the original ones.

I agree, Steam...seems like an underground consensus that Elwood always had knock-off stuff, his watch being one item that comes to mind...it looks nothing like a Timex of that period I can find...maybe his choice of sunglasses followed in the same vein....

The reason I ask is because mine are the 2132s,which are the smaller versions, and I was interested in the squares for a new pair (ain't tax-time great? )
If they are the same as the standards, are they also available is a smaller version?

Yes they are. I mean, I've never done the measuring, but just looking at the two pairs side by side and trying both on, yes, they are the same size, just squared at the bottom instead of round.
The 2132's are something a little different as they are the "New Wayfarer." I do not believe they make a square version of the New Wayfarer at this time. The square ones that I got were hard enough to find as it is. I found the frames at Lenscrafters. One pair, never seen them again at any L.C. locations since. But I'd also like an non-prescription pair so I'm probably going to order some off the internet with my tax return.

If you search 'Wayfarer Square' on eBay, you will definitely find them, but good luck finding them under $100 ($90 if you're lucky). The only squares I've seen are authentic Ray-Bans. I haven't come across a good square knock-off yet. If you find one, please share it here!
