My wife brought this home on Blu-Ray today. I grew up with videos and reruns of the original series, but had never seen the movie.
Whose idea was it to cast Dan Aykroyd as a murderous scary monster?!?! Because that was so frickin' *inspired*.

well i got one Twilight Zone on Dvd, but it's not the one with Dan Aykroyd. Still i got the one with Danny on pc, so i can still watch it. It think that here in Belgium you can't buy it.
It's also a little depressing that he has such a little part in the movie

Well yeah it's a small part but it's the BEST part! And how much fun must that have been? "I only have to shoot for two days, you're going to pay me X amount of money, oh! and *I'm* the monster in a *Twilight Zone* episode?"

It's bare bones as far as most Blu-Rays go -- no commentaries, no extras, just the feature and a trailer. Still the picture quality is *excellent*, so it's well worth the price.

I think I'll stick to DVD. No BluRay is worth the price, IMO. Then again, I'm not picky about resolution. Long as it's a good film, they could be on an old overused VHS, taped during a thunderstorm for all I care. :D

That is a great bit. landis said he had that idea for a while but knew it could only be a short. When Twilight Zone came along he figured it would work well.
Landis using Aykroyd and Brooks makes it scarier because you really don't expect it.
