Can anyone tell me who's in the photos Elwood has tacked up on the walls of his room in the Plymouth Hotel?

I'm on the street, I'm talking out of my head,
This dumb brick wall ain't heard a word

I see Martin Luther King in one shot -- nice bit of symmetry with Curtis's room at the orphanage. They had a good art director.

From what I understand that is thee very same piece from "Apocalypse Now".
Not a reprint or a copy... but thee very same piece of paper.

You won't find it in any PB magazine because it was shot specifically for "Apocalypse".

Referring to the lower capture-

The one next to the Colleen Camp poster is Little Richard? And to the left of that are the Temptations?

The picture on the lower left looks like Elvis. The one next to that looks like Marvin Gaye...not sure who the next one is, but the calendar next to that is definitely the Chicago skyline with the AON Center and Grant Park.

Edit: Just noticed a goof...the Elvis-looking picture is missing in the top capture.

The one next to the Colleen Camp poster (the Playboy pinup) is definitely James Brown.

I just spent a half hour on Google images trying to find the exact photo for comparison purposes. I used to have a postcard of the same image.

Indeed it is James Brown. I found the same picture after about 5 minutes of searching. :BB:

Yeah, that could be, right.
The one next to Big Joe Turner could be Lightnin' Hopkins.

Don't you think it's strange that James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles are hanging on that wall??

Can anyone put names to each picture?

Jake knocked one off the wall. :P

;)

Regarding middle-right, there's an interesting story to that picture.

Posted Image

Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) was supposed to be in Apocalypse Now as the centerfold. There was even a photo-shoot done of her. After weather wrecked the set, it took so long to rebuild that Lynda had to go back to the US to film her TV show. That's when they brought in Colleen Camp for the part and recreated the photoshoot to create the fictitious Miss May - Terri Turee. Colleen's pictures were seen in the October 1979 issue of Playboy,

The rumour was that Hef has the original Lynda Carter pics in his vault and they are to be destroyed upon his death lol. There has been a pic of Lynda around that is possibly from the photo-shoot she did for Apocalypse Now, and some feel it's authentic. Compare the two ...

Posted Image

Haha who knows, for sure it's Colleen Camp on the wall but in Elwood's world she was Playboy centerfold Terri Turee.

:D

It would be cool not only to identify each person but to also find the same picture!

TOP 3
Posted Image

Top left - In post #4 Flash identified Ray as top left ...

Posted Image

Top middle - It's Little Walter?

Top right - I haven't found that exact pic of Aretha but I may have found one from the same photo-shoot. I'm not sure ?

Posted Image
-

MIDDLE 3
Posted Image

Middle left - I haven't seen this pic for The Drifters. What are some other possibilities we could search?

Middle middle - As mentioned this is James Brown ...

Posted Image

Middle right - An amazing crossover between Apocalypse Now and The Blues Brothers brings us the fictitious Miss May - Terri Turee (Colleen Camp) ...

-

BOTTOM 4
Posted Image

Bottom left - I haven't seen that exact pic of Little Richard but it might have been taken on this day ...

Posted Image

Bottom mid-left - Big Joe Turner ...

Posted Image

Bottom mid-right - Image searches do look like Lightnin' Hopkins but I haven't found a pic that resembles this one.

Bottom right - A calendar.
---

As Jacob speculated, the bottom left could be Elvis ? Heh, people will ask, "Ummm, you can't tell the difference between Elvis and Little Richard?" lol. Hey we're getting there.
