I posted the links to these in other areas of the forum, but I figured I could leave them here as well!

I don't know if you guys are familiar with the website called tumblr, but I've signed up for an account there and created two websites, one dedicated to Danny Aykroyd and the other dedicated to the first five years of SNL and the original not ready for prime time players. Basically tumblr is just a blog where you can collect photos, videos, audio clips, text posts, etc all in one place. Hopefully this makes sense!

anyway, here are the links, and I'd love to get your feedback! and if anyone has a tumblr and wants to submit something, please do so! If you don't have a tumblr but happen to have a lot of photos of Danny or the original SNL cast, let me know as well!

the 1st site looks better, but to be honest they both look like generic templates, not really "blues music" or SNL type themes.

Personally i've always favoured creating sites in actual HTML editors (not web based site builders) & hosting them myself otherwise you are a bit limited, although if ever i've used a generic template or downloaded an already existing theme, tried to alter it to make the site look & feel a bit more personal rather than just copying someone else's colours & layout.

Yeah, I realize I didn't do my own html. It's not really a BLUES related website. It's more of a blog type dedicated to either the early SNL years or Danny Aykroyd. But thanks for the feedback, mad-wolfie! I will try to see what I can do to personalize it more on tumblr (the website the blog is on)! Though their custom settings are hard to really personalize with.

I have watched some clips of Hulu, but not early SNL clips! I will check that out! Usually I just watch the episodes via Netflix on my Xbox or Playstation. They have season 1-5 right on there! it's great!

The Dan tumblr opens fine for me but the SNL tumblr opens to a blank page.

Whaazzup wit dat? Maybe you're tweaking it at the moment and I can't get in?

ah, it shouldnt open to a blank page! I'm not quite sure why that's happening! um, I'll post the link here again, maybe that will work, if not, I'm not sure what's wrong! I'll look into it though!

Normally I would assume it's a glitch on my end, but because the Dan tumblr is still opening for me, and the SNL one is not, I figure the glitch must be with the link. ? The URL shows up fine but the page is still completely blank for me.

Was it something I said?

What browser do you use, Steamer?
If youre using a browser which is not supported it might cause trouble.

I'm browsing with IE8. I was using Firefox for a while but it wouldn't let me save pics of cars, especially from daBay, so I switched back to IE.

Is the SNL tumblr page opening for you, Soul Man? It doesn't make sense to me because like I mentioned, Dan's tumblr opens perfectly for me. The SNL tumblr does open, I can see the URL at the top, but the page is blank.

Yes, thats a problem with IE.. When I open it with my IE8, I get the same blank screen as you. Try Firefox instead. (Weird that you cant save pics with FF... try a reinstall of FF )

ah, that's so strange. I'm sorry about that! and it is really weird that you can't save pics with FF.
