What is the German song playing in the background of the head nazi's office while he is painting a bird. Right before they drive out to wrigley field.

I cant for the life of me find it! Anybody know?

it is called "Horst Wessel Lied". "horst wessel" must be the name of somebody and "lied" is just the german word for "song"
but i have no clue where one could get this.

I watched it 3 times, but once I watched it frame by frame!
I noticed things I'd never seen before!
For example, did you know that when the Nazi's crash through the road (and the Bluesmobile jumps over the big hole), there is a cinema right behind it and to the left. I'd never noticed what movie was showing there!
(I won't say it, so you can find it out for yourself)

If you can find the exact (or VERY similar) version heard in the movie, I'd be glad to add it to the downloads. If you find it, send me a link and I'll download the file and add it.

This "somebody" was no other than the official hero of National Socialism in die Dritte Reich (Third Reich) during the pre world war two era. Horst Ludwig Wessel was 22 years old when he was murdered by two organized communists of the Rotfront, (the militant organization of the german communist party) in 1930 in Berlin. Horst Wessel was himself an SA Sturmf?hrer in the private army of the nazi party (the SA, Brownshirts, incidently the same organisation of the nazi party that Arnold Schwarzeneggers father belonged to) (the SA was practicly dissolved in june of 1934 after an internal made up powerstruggle between Adolf Hitler and the SA leader Ernst R?hm which resulted in the murder of Ernst R?hm, on grounds of homosexuality amongst other things). Alledgedly Horst Wessel wrote the "Horst Wessel lied" (lied = song) himself right before the murder ( but ithe melody is actually from an old patriotic song from Westphalia Germany), there was a legend of Horst's death made up by Goebbels (made german minister of propaganda in 1933). Then the "Gauleiter" (district leader) of the Berlin nazi party. He was actually murdered mainly because of an ongoing argument about the woman he was living with, Erna Jaenicke a former prostitute. According to the legend Wessel was killed in the street (and in an emotional scene in the popular nazi Hitler Jugend film of the 30's Horst last words were to keep the Flag high and to continue the struggle for National Socialism, this was ofcourse a load of horse shit). After the war the grave of Horst Wessel was desecrated and destroyed, but you can still find fresh flowers on it sometimes, obviously neo nazis trying to revive the whole thing.

So what can we learn from this?

You can take the whore out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the whore. And if you happen to be a song writer, than you might be a household name amongst your idiot friends who thought you were something you never were.

And here are some biographical notes on him:

SA-Sturmf?hrer
Horst Ludwig Wessel

Born: 9. October 1907 in Bielefeld.
Died: 23. February 1930 in Berlin (of gunshot wounds in the Krankenhaus am Friedrichshain, Berlin).

Promotions:
SA-Truppf?hrer: 1. May 1929
SA-Sturmf?hrer: 1929(?)

Ps. I'm not a nazi scumbag, I just read alot.
