Hey there,

for the last week i'm having problems with my antivirus (panda antivirus pro 2010) en when i'm running self diagnose, he said that my antivirus (not the program but the part) has to be activated by restarting my computer. i have this problem for over a week and more than 2 times a day. now i'm thinking for taking an other antivirus but i don't know wich one. if i ask it to a friend the one sais this one, the other sais that one...

now i wanna know wich one u reccomend to me?

For what it's worth, I had Norton back in the day and it sucked a**.
It made my computer run slower and hang. It would then tell me what it couldn't do.
Updating it proved useless.

I have since used the AVG Free Anti Virus & Ad-Aware and I haven't had a problem...yet!

Freebies - Avast, Comodo ISS or Antivir (out of the 3 i'd probably pick Comodo because it does spyware & firewall as well, the others are just virus scanners)

Paid - ESET (nod32), BitDefender or McAfee

AVG isn't as good as it used to be & as was said Norton sucks - as a virus detector it's 100% but it does have a tendency to take your computer over - even more evident when you come to remove it - because it doesn't seem to let you do anything without it's permission "the old woman down the road has just farted, do you want to allow this y/n?"

OK, fine... but if the forum won't let you just post a 3 letter reply, why not just add a smilie face or emoticon at the end or perhaps add in a short comment to say why you think AVG is a good choice instead of spitting your dummy out.

Is there any need for a load of verbal & sarcasm just because the forum has a setting to block short replies? it's there as a security measure (so we are all safe online when using this forum) & to encourage conversation so people don't just put emoticons or write "+1" as replies.

Yes.
I got everything I need....almost...
