Well that was pretty cool! The guy is going to get a headache trying to figure out the back-flip. :BB:

Standard physics does not apply to a magical machine such as the Bluesmobile.

That's awesome. In the collector edition DVD, there's a part where John Landis talks about how, due to timing constraints, they had to remove the scene where the Bluesmobile was parked inside the electric substation.

Dan Aykroyd thought it important to show the scene (because it explained how the car got its powers to do seemingly impossible stunts : it was charged up with electricity). And John Landis just responded: You don't have to describe why it can do a backflip. Its magical!

If the scene where its put in the generator room was left the first time, I would have simply thought that's just where Elwood hides it because he's a known traffic menace. The Lord put the brothers on a mission and that imbued the Blumo with his protection. When they got to Cook County Plaza the Lord must have figured its work was done and let it die. Godly mission and movie magic!

If I hadnt seen the special features, thats what I would have thought... That Elwood was hiding it in there, not putting it in there for magic!! lol.... But the lord works in mysterious ways ;)
