Buster & I got to see James Cotton play over this past weekend, the man can't sing any more but boy can he still blow a mean harp! A fantastic show, and after the show we got to say hello. Buster was delighted afterwards when he said, "He was surprisingly cuddly!"

I met him back several years ago and got him to autograph an 8x10" photo and harmonica which hang in a shadow box in my office. He's an icon for sure, and though he's lost his voice he's still Mr. Superharp! Last few shows I saw him in he had a vocalist to sing his songs. Was that the same when you saw him?

Yup... very good singer/lead guitarist, I forget his name already I'm afraid, I'll have to check Cotton's web site later. He had a great range of vocal styles and terrific stage presence. Cotton still talks to the audience a (very) little bit between some songs, though he's not easy to understand, but he was definitely still really enjoying himself!

Our next show (as of now) will be in June, when we go see Guy Davis, a modern traditional blues player I've wanted to see for a few years now. Great stuff if you haven't heard him!
