The trunk lid has always been the roughest part of the car, and it's gotten rougher over the years. Now and then I thought about, just for fun, painting "1445" on it (as in "CANINE PATROL 1445"), and recently I decided to go ahead and do it. Working from a couple of photos of BB2000 movie car #43 (formerly owned by Huey)...

... I came up with what I thought to be accurate dimensions for the "1445". I drew out the numbers by hand on cardboard, and cut them out to create a stencil, which I then taped onto my car...

I applied yellow acrylic paint I had on hand with a pretty dry, pretty stiff brush. Rather than painting the numbers in fully and then weathering them afterwards, I just didn't fill them in all the way, referring to a printout of the numbers on car #43. I realized I made the stencil a bit tall, so after starting at the top, I painted down to a certain point and moved the stencil up a bit. Here is the end result...

... and here's me, proud of my work:

If this had been part of the complete Bluesmobile 2000 "graphics package," I probably would have gotten the exact dimensions from a movie car owner, and made a more careful color match. But I decided to try not to worry too much, and just have fun with it. This was my first BluMo graphics work ever, and I'm pretty happy with it! Now I'll have a little experience when I get another Crown Vic (or a Monaco or Gran Fury).
Also, just for fun, here's two pics of the K9 roof "graphics" which I made in a little April snowfall:
