Hello, my name is Eric...... The reason i am posting this is that i would like to see who has the " ORIGINAL " copy of the movie...
I was in the original movie, in all of the most current copies i ended up on the editing room floor ...
The way you will know that you have the original copy is because when Jake and Elwood are driving to Mrs Tarantino house to find Tom and Lou, they pass my grandmothers house.
I was ridding the big wheel, My cousin and his Friend were playing catch with what i think was a football. I was only 3 years old at the time..... I would like to find out who has this copy with me in it and i would like to arrange to have a copy made, etc....
Please view the video's and lets see who has an " Original Copy " :D
The "original" release movie

The extended version that's on the market is the closest to the full original that anybody is getting.

Yep. And the extended version has a nice long shot of the Bluesmobile arriving to the front of Mrs. Tarantino's house. There's 4 kids on the lawn next door playing catch with a baseball and a frisbee, no sign of any kid riding a big-wheel. You might have been out there for the set-up and blocking/re-hearsing but I guess by the time they actually filmed it you had gone for nappers.

Steam McQueen, thanks for your post....
I wasn't napping i actually have a check stub which was given to my parents as a extra.
Actually, the kids are not playing in front of her house, they are playing on the 1600 block of 51st Court. The scene that I am speaking about the kids will be on the left of Elwood as he is driving the car.

Hmmm ... three kids do ride by on bikes on Elwood's side as he pulls up, no sign of a big-wheel though. These kids were older than 3. I'll look again paying more attention to the other side of the street.
Hey very cool that you were there for that!

Well, I just took another look. As the Bluesmobile is coming down the street, the camera (which is up high) starts to come down and pan towards Mrs. Tarantino's house. You must be just out of the shot.
Unless my older television isn't showing me the entire widescreen. The picture is definitely widescreen but maybe the old tv is cutting off my edges a bit?? I'm not sure. Maybe someone with a widescreen LCD or plasma television can see a little more than I can.
I tried, dude. I was really hoping to see you on your big-wheel.

Out of curiosity I'll see if I can find my old old laserdisc copy of the movie and check... though my LD player is boxed up in the basement, hasn't been used for ages so can't guarantee it'll work. I'm curious now though!
