OK. Every time I build a Monaco I have the seats recovered and buy a carpet kit from ACC carpets. However, from what I can tell in the movie (when Elwood hits the brake pedal with both feet prior to teetering off of the overpass) , the police package has an insulated rubber mat floor. Is there an aftermarket company that sells a pre cut rubber floor mat? Just a thought.

This is the closest I've found...

ACC Vinyl Flooring

It does not have the textured finish, but I think would work pretty well.

I bought one for mine a few years ago from a place called NOS Reproductions . It fits but had to be trimmed and still waiting for the material over the trans hump to settle . You can kinda see it in the picture .

Any carpet Kit that ACC does can be done in Vinyl as well. You just have to call them and order it directly on the phone. They do not list all of the vinyl floors that are available on the website. I had them do a vinyl floor for an Ambulance that I restored and it came out fantastic.

A full rubber/vinyl floor would be correct for a police package car. And the ACC versions ARE textured and look very original. I'll try to go out to the garage tomorrow and take a couple of close ups of the floor in my ambulance. The ACC floors really do look nice. Its a very factory look in the car. And nothing screams police package like a full vinyl floor. You have to pull the front seat out so you can lay the floor in properly, and it usually takes some heat and some adjustment to get it just perfect, but the end result is well worth it.

Found the next best thing! May sound crazy but it looks great! I went to Lowe's and was looking at their carpet. Found some dark brown, thin indoor carpet. 3/8" thick. Flipped it over and there it was. Black rubber matting with small checks in it like an industrial or municipal style floor mat. Walked out with a roll and started trimming.

There are other scenes in the movie like when Jake steps out of the car just before they enter Triple Rock church and there's tan carpet in the car.
