I wonder how much trouble you would get into abandoning a vehicle like that????
Has anyone ever abandoned their Bluesmobile infront of The Daley center?

Just wondering if anyone has ever grown tired of their bluesmobile or it needed too much mechicanal work and they needed a fitting end their ownership of a bluemobile? I was wondering if anyone had just abandoned their Bluesmobile infront of the Daley Center like Jake and Elwood did? My buddy that co owns my BB with me thought a fitting end to it would be to drive it to Chicago, go check out the blues clubs all weekend, and abandon the car infront of the Daley center when we leave town. he said we could just sign off the title and leave it in the car for whomever finds it and wants it.

Not the Daley Center itself... you want to leave it in front of City Hall, just across the street.
I don't think anyone has ditched their car there, but there is a member who filmed himself driving across the plaza.
I'm not sure how much trouble you you might get in.
They might send you a bill for towing, but after a certain time limit, when the nearly
$200 dollar a day impound fee was not paid, I think they just keep the car and call it a day.

Cool! I dont wanna give up my lady of blessed acceleration just yet, but it might be a fitting way to get rid of it. heck, I could sign the title off and someone might want a free bluesmobile before the tow truck hauls it to the pound! :D

If you're gonna give it away,at least give us a shot at it....maybe a raffle or something?

Well, I am not ready to get rid of it now, just thinking it would be a cool way to do it. If it comes to that, I would probably put it up for sale here first.

Shotgun & I used to fantasize about something similar with our first Monaco, not so much at City Hall but burning off the VIN numbers and leaving her on a Chicago back street near a blues club. In the end though, after the subframes were all rotting out and Jake was gone in the military, and me through tough financial times, I just had her towed away... couldn't bear to do anything more symbolic though I regret it to this day. (I still have the video but won't watch it.)

So essentially, you're either going to sell it to someone here,or basically give it away to a total stranger?
Makes sense......

I abandoned my Bluesmobile there last year, for about 2 hours.
