How much is he in the business? Sure for over 30 years, and they still cannot write his name right :D

Great news for all, everybody could be an "official" Jake or Elwood... C´mon... It´s good to have new Blues Bros. stuff, but I´d like something with the original people instead of a tribute band...

Ha, I know. You should see TV Tropes. I can't *count* how many times I've edited an article on Tropes to fix the spelling of his name!
Still, this sounds neat. As someone else noted, it would be cool to have folks from the original band do cameos.

I could see this show working for at least one season on a network like Showtime. (A movie channel would allow Jake and Elwood's adult language.)
But on a network like NBC or ABC? No, I don't think that would work at all. When I first read the article, I envisioned the show on NBC with a lame laugh track, corny jokes and being canceled after one episode.
Personally, I think a movie channel would work best for a show like this. Then again, some networks allow a lot more than they used to, examples: FX and Spike. But I couldn't see this kind of a show working on those kinds of networks.
If this does wind up happening, I just hope it will be good.

Belushi Pisano is happy to see the characters played by new actors, 28 years after her husband died.
She adds, "What this has done has reminded me what great characters the Blues Brothers are. They are great American characters. People tend to think of them as John and Dan. They were the first actors to do it but they won't be the last. When you see Kieran and Wayne you will see how they embody those characters and make them work. There is a spirit of Blues Brothers. It is an umbrella for the Blues."
Launch vehicles - left, right and center. Good scripts and excellent music will also help lol! I would hope to hear the real Blues Brothers on the soundtrack each episode.

Me too, bark0. There is only one way and one way only that this show could be successful ... an extensive chase/crash sequence each episode. The "new?" Bluesmobile will need to be expendable; P71 Crown Vic. Launch them ... launch them with an extreme disregard for public safety lol.
Cars should fly every episode.

Also you must keep in mind that in BB 2000, Jake had already died. So how can you make a TV show with Jake alive? Doesn't make sense. But, let's see what happens!

Welcome to the Official Blues Brothers Revue
Makes me wonder what the target audience might be for this alleged television show? More than just my love of seeing cars flying, there'll probably be comparisons to them Duke boys.
