My name is Thorbjoern,I`m 31 years old and I live in Norway. This is my car:

I´ve been dreaming of 70`s full size cars for many years now, and everytime we watched the BB-movie, the urge grew stronger and stronger..
American cars are very popular here in northern europe, there are plenty of camaros, corvettes, mustangs etc, but very few fullsizers. Some shiny caddilacs and other luxury boats appear on sunny days, but thats almost it.
So I had to look across the atlantic to find the right type of car. It didn´t take long time before I realized that these cars are hard to find even in the US, and the prices are often quite high. At first I was looking for a monaco, but then I found out that the gran fury pretty much is the same car.
Suddenly a -75 gran fury police car appeared on ebay. I bought it just based on the photos and sellers description,

As I said, this is a real cop car, former south carolina highway patrol. 440HP, rubber floor mat, 140 mph speedo, and all the right stuff.
Brakes and suspension needs a service, have bought lots of new parts. The interior (black) is fine, except some wear and tear in the front seat/bench.
The power plant seems ok, but I´ve had problems getting it to run well. Changed almost everything, plugs, wires, distributor, fuel pump, filters etc, cleaned the carb, checked compression (fine), but still there was rough idle, backfiring through the carb, and little power. My friend and helper has a 700hp camaro (400 with turbo), and he knows alot about V8´s, but we didn´t figure it out. The car was then put in storage for the winter, and I did some tune-up on my girlfriends summer car istead, -69 vw beetle:

I have bought lots of parts during the winter, new edelbrock 750 carb, edelbrock performer intake (no more EGR!), new electronic distributor etc. Hopefullly some of the problems will disappear when these are installed..
The plans for the car are not set yet, but it will be a cop car inspired by the bluesmobile. Black and white for sure, and a bit "worn out" look. I`ve purchased some police items, including a vintage twinsonic light bar, and unity spot lights.
