Some big stuff coming up this year!

Oops, that above poster doesn't look quite right. D'oh, the text and the center ring are in black. It's an Olympic Winter year!

:D

I've seen two different posters (colours) for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Were they printed with different colours?

The World Junior hockey players do battle every year at this time. This year in Saskatchewan, Canada!

Posted Image

Four teams still in medal contention and playing today ...

Canada vs. Switzerland at 5:00pm Eastern time.
Sweden vs. United States at 9:00pm Eastern time.

The two winners will play for gold on Tuesday night, January 5. These are the young lads (17-20), the Olympic teams will be made up of professional players. I like this level of hockey too, the Juniors, they can really fly out there.

:D

Heeeyyyyyyy ... Super Bowl '44' coming up! Februaury 7, 2010.

Well, Canada beat the Swiss (6-1) and the US beat Sweden (5-2) so it's Canada and the USA going for Junior Hockey gold. *hears crickets - observes tumbleweed* :) Tuesday night ...

Thanks to Brett Favre the Saints are marchin' in to the Super Bowl!
I pleased as I've always hated his , "I love me, who do you love?" demeanor.

I love it

Arguably the greatest hockey player of all-time was Wayne Gretzky. He was synonymous with the Edmonton Oilers but actually played for four different teams. During his brief stint playing with the St. Louis Blues, he and Brett Hull were known as ...

There's lots more to hockey than fighting, but fighting is part of the game. It always will be. Bob Probert (on the right) was definitely one of the all-time scrappers. Maybe the best. Search his name in youtube, tons of vids. Here's a sample ...

YouTube - My Top 5 Bob Probert Fights

Tie Domi was a regular dance partner with Probert. Tie was as tough as a bulldog can be and one night in New York there was a great showdown. These guys fought many times, I think Tie won this one ...

Anyone gonna watch The Who at halftime tomorrow?

Hey, kids! Those "CSI" theme songs sure are catchy, right? The band that wrote them wants you to know there's a lot more where that came from.

Of course that brings up memories of halftime shows in the past, and as usual a list of worst performances arises every year. Seems like Elwood, Zee, and Mack always make the list, from Super Bowl XXXI in 1997.

That game was a riot! Not for Manning/Colts fan, but I sure enjoyed it. Of around 6 or 7 guys at my buddies place, me and only one other lad were rooting for the Saints. Who Dat? Pizza, beer and the Super Bowl ... woo-hoo!! ;)

So Abe Vigoda really is still alive ... LOL.!!

I had the exact same thought.http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum2/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif
I got everything I need....almost...

"I was growing sick of rock and roll, it was starting to bore me...and I hated disco, so I needed some place to go. I hadn't heard much blues before. It felt good."-John Belushi

(Still inspiring me--and knowing me like a book)
