Hello people, I thought I would start a new thread about our bluesmobile to be!! The pics have been posted before and a few people know of Me (Dean) and my better half Vicky and that we are in the united kingdom. As I said in another thread here, I have sourced all the front end parts to swap our 75 royal to a 74. The car itself is fitted with a 360 small block and 727 trans. I will be staying with this combo but the motor will be rebuilt as it is very tired indeed! A few sensible upgrades will also be put in as the build goes on. I want it to be fast as well as relible!! Bodywise the car is lovely and rust free. This is the first proper 'blues' part:-

I could not find a pack of Chesterfields for the life of me. I had to buy a couple packs of Marlboro and print off Chesterfield image, then slide the images under the clear wrapper of the cigarettes. Close enough, but if anyone has a couple of empty packs they want to get rid of, let me know.

Congrats on the car, look forward to the pictures as you make progress on the car.;)

I had them made locally, then powder coated satin black. They are outside in the snow at the moment being 'weathered'!!! They are damn heavy too.

O.K, slight turn around here, this project will not be going any further!! I have just split up with my partner of 11 years and this was to be her car, so that is the end of that!! I would love to finish this car myself but I just can't look at it anymore. It is rust free and just waiting to be turned into a fantastic bluesmobile, I even managed to search out all the 74 parts to do it!! I really fail to understand women, period!!

Just hang tight on the project. Put it to rest for a little bit...then finish it out of spite!!!
