"Comedian and actor Dan Aykroyd joins Emmy-winning interviewer Ernie Manouse for a half-hour to discuss his days on Saturday Night Live, his relationship with John Belushi, the formation of the Blues Brothers, his interest in the House of Blues, his belief in the UFO phenomenon, and the possibility of a third Ghostbusters installment."

YouTube - Dan Aykroyd on InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse

It's a nice long (26min 49sec) interview with Dan Aykroyd about a lot that is going on in his acting life.

Thanks for that link, Matt! :BB:

I enjoyed this interview. Just one-on-one for a decent amount of time, unlike the usual 5 minute time limit on regular talk shows. I much preferred this to some of the book tour interviews Dan did with his Dad. I guess the UFO talk in this vid might make a few people cringe still, but what the hell. That's who Dan is, he believes in UFO's and beings from another dimension. Haha ... so do I. :o

The priest stuff is funny. Dan went to two different Catholic high schools in Ottawa. One of them was the same one I attended, some 10 years after Dan, St. Pius X. At 3:42 of the vid Dan mentions Father Lunney. He was still the principal when I went there, I remember him well.

Good interview. Dan wants to put HoB in Europe, he mentioned Berlin, Paris and London.

Haha ... NO. :BB: Not long after Dan would have attended St. Pius X, it went from an all boys school to co-ed. By the time I got there it was full of girls, there was a smoking area, and we had a mix of priests, nuns, and regular civilian teachers. There was even a school shooting in my first year!
St. Pius X High School shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's wild because the school was under renovation at the time so grade 9 and 10 had school in the morning, grades 11, 12 and 13 went in the afternoon. The shooter showed up in the afternoon and opened fire in my homeroom! The room I was in that very morning. He then blew his head off in the hall right in front of my locker. We had school as usual the very next morning!! All the tiles above my locker were new. I would tell people that I found his eyeball in my locker ... some believed it.

Still, I didn't do well there. I did 3 years, just like Jake, then after a month of year four I switched schools. I couldn't take the religion stuff anymore.

:D

History indeed, that was 34 years ago! :o I've always wondered what Dan thought about the news. The incident happened the Monday after the 3rd episode ever of SNL. I'm sure his folks called him to tell him. Crazy stuff.

There was a lot of stuff covered in this interview! Disappointing I suppose for those hoping for a new album. Didn't sound like that will ever happen. GBIII also sounds less like happening than from previous interviews. I'd say though, that there's still a glimmer of hope for that.

Dan sure had a thirst on for his water bottle! :) I've had those morning thirsties, many times lol.
