This was the funniest Police Academy movie to me. It was also the first one I saw. That's not the only reason I'm saying this is the best. I saw most of the other ones, and they were funny too, but none of them made me laugh as much as this 4th installment from 1987. I love this movie. And I just love how Captain Harris and Proctor always get the short end of the stick in all these movies, and they don't get it better than in this one, like when Proctor is puclicly embarrassed in the middle of a sports game, and when the megaphone is crazy glued to Harris' mouth and when the mask from the Oxygen Tank is connected to a helium tank, and he breathes it in thinking it's oxygen. :BB: And of course, Michael Winslow as Larvell Jones. He's still Class A with his humor.

i love the old lady in the movie (the one who's obsessed with guns). it could be tackleberry's grandmother. but still i find Zed and Jones the funniest of the movies... oh and Lassard. But still the 1st one is the best.

I worked on this movie! For one night. The "Police Academy" was the old Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital in Toronto. Me and 3 other guys were dressed as cops and we watched Mahoney crash the cop car, right after the window was hit by a golf ball, lol. It's at the start of the movie ...

After the jump we come running down the stairs but that part was cut. Glenn Wilder's boy did the jump, coulda used a bit more speed but it looked cool watching it. I met Steve Guttenberg that night, shook his hand - he was a really nice guy, his mother was there! :o I enjoyed my chat with stunt co-ordinator Mike De Luna. He did some great stunts on the television show "The A-Team."

Here's where we were that night ...

The red arrow is the path of the cop car, the red X is where it stops, the 4 blue x's are me and the 3 other guys. We were off to the side during the jump, then they put us on the stairs and filmed us running down the stairs, and subsequently never used that footage LOL!

You can also see that exact location at the end of Strange Brew. :D

A map to the area ...
