Anna Faris is sticking to the world of children’s entertainment. The blonde comedian best known for her starring role in House Bunny, and who recently voiced a lead role in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, is in negotiations to star in Warner Bros. live-action/CG-animated feature Yogi Bear. She will play Rachel, a nature documentary filmmaker shooting Yogi and Boo-Boo for her next project. Dan Aykroyd is in negotiations to voice the CG-animated Yogi while Justin Timberlake is in talks to voice Boo-Boo. The film, from producer Donald DeLine, is set to begin filming in Auckland, New Zealand next month. Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth) is directing a script from Brad Copeland (Wild Hogs). A remake of Yogi Bear seems to be an incredibly unnecessary project but with these inspired casting choices perhaps a good movie will prevail.

Sounds fun to me. ;)

" Just trying to make everyone feel welcome " !

"Oh life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the side you're on
Just keep on pushing hard boy, try as you may
You're going to wind up where you started from "

I'm loving it already! Justin Timberlake is okay for voice acting...you can't see him. ;) I liked him in Shrek 3.

If it turns like "Garfield" I think they shouldn´t do it. Garfield running?! And I didn´t mention the poor voice work in the Spanish version... Lame!

As we all know their are three stages in an actors-life:

1. You are young and you can play Hamlet
2. You are older and more mature and you can play King Lear
3. And well, you are Dan Aykroyd and you play Yogi Bear.

Hey there! It's Dan Aykroyd as Yogi Bear?!? And Justin Timberlake as Boo-Boo? It's not April Fool's Day is it? -- Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

I read the Aint It Cool News, and I didn't hate the Garfield movie. I thought it was neat that Lorenzo Music (sp?) voiced Garfield and Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters, and Bill Murry was Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters and voiced Garfield in the movie.

I wonder if the CGI bear will look like the cartoon, a real bear, or a mix of the two like with Scooby Doo?

A fake poster has surfaced. ;)

There were two early renderings of Yogi and Boo-Boo but ...

Warner Bros. requested that The Movie Insider remove the early rendering of Boo-Boo Bear because the art is not final. The movie recently finished shooting in New Zealand and is in post-production. We will update photos when Warner Bros releases official versions.

I wasn't sure if Dan sounded more like Yogi or Fred Flintstone. :o I guess he's been hanging around with Goodman too much lol.

I'll bet though, you'll never be able to listen to Camptown races again without thinking of Cucum-bear's & trying to remember the other lyrics.
