More of a comparison between Dodge, Chev and Ford. Great vid. One small distraction is his little copyright bubble ...

It pops up and never goes away, but you very quickly zone it out. The Royal steals the show!! :-D

You beat me to it...

For the past few days I have been remastering this same promo film.

First, I split the audio from the video.
I then color corrected the film (no more red overcast).
I also removed a bit of the graininess and increased the color depth.

Next, I cleaned up the audio: Removed the background hissing, removed blank spaces in the audio track, and corrected some of the "classroom projector" warble in the sound.
I then converted the audio to mp3 and re-attached it to the video.

(I also did some stuff w/ the frame rate and encoding process.. but nothing you can see or hear)
Finally, I converted the whole thing into an AVI file.

* I'm wondering if it is cool to share it here ?
** I'm also wondering how a youtube uploader can claim
copyright of a
Dodge corporation promotional film.

A few "Before & After" shots of what I have been doing...

Good question. He seems to have lots of old grainy car commercials and stuff.

That's some nice work on the remastering, TK. And yeah the Ford and Chevy both look cheap compared to that big ol' Dodge. What a car!

No bubble.

But.. the video needs a little more work.
The completed, uncompressed avi was 850mb. :BB:
Going to have to knock that down if I hope to post it.

It is now a 272mb .mpg file.

I tested it and it took 5 mins for me to download on a
5.1mbps cable modem.

I downloaded it but can't play it. A "codec" thing missing on my Windows Media Player?? I'm not sure about all that stuff ... I'll keep trying.

dang. I'm certain both downloads have been successful, they won't play in Windows Media Player for me. * I realize now that my computing box only has the Windows player as an option, the old box gave me choices so I'm gonna try again later with Real or Quicktime.
