I got an email from a ruthbabe (or something like that) claiming to be a female and saw my profile and claims to have liked it and think that we are soul mates (or something to that affect) but they want me to email them at their yahoo email and not here...this smells like a scam artist to me. I contacted the site admin but don't seem to find where we can block people from contacting us am I missing something or is that just not there? thanks! and did anyone else get an email like that?

Was this a regular email, or a Private Message on the forum?

(And yes, those messages that read like that are always spam.)

I got it too. It said it was a private message but I got it as an email (like Facebook messages). It wasn't here as a message when I signed in. The text is absolutely hilarious; here's a cut-and-paste, omitting the email address:

"hello dearest, my name is Ruthdickson, i am beautiful loving caring, and romantic young girl, i saw your profile today and i took interest and love on it, i believe we can click together and make something good out of it, i will like you to contact me through my private mail address, this will enable me to show you my picture and tell you more about me, i will be waiting for your sweet reply soonest, once and again please don't send it to website contact me direct to my email, thanks for your understanding, Ruth."

This reminds me of a scam email I once received which read, in part, "Though I have not met with you before but I believe, one must risk confiding in succeed sometimes in life."
