For the past few years my girlfriend and I go to a huge Halloween party in Mechanicsbug, PA. Average 150 people, live bands-everything. Well, this year we were going to go as Joliet Jake (me) & Elwood (she). We got the hats, glasses, ties, suits, etc. Last week I had to have surgery on my left shoulder (the 3rd one from an auto accident last Nov). Can't do much of anything for the at least the next 3 weeks. We were so looking forward to representing our blues heroes, and something everyone could relate to. Oh well, there's always next year...:(

That stinks. :( It took me several Halloweens between movie discovery and suit acquisition....and I still have never suited up on Halloween. Now I have no suit. Hrmm...

Like you said, hopefully next year!

Dang, that's a bummer. Yes, hopefully next year!

I dressed as Elwood several years ago for Halloween. My get up wasn't super accurate (I wore black Chuck Taylor sneakers. LOL) but I had the black suit, black tie, sunglasses and a hat (but not quite the right hat). Had the harp too! Brought in my Blues Brother's Definitive Collection CD to work and played that. :(

Thanks all. Yeah it's a drag, not much I can do though. Well at least I get to tease the kids in the neighbourhood with candy...LOL

Hate to break it to you, but you went as Buster Blues.

*shudder*

Please tell me you will NEVER EVER do that again. Ok?

You're forgiven.

Oh. Geeze...ahh...

My apologies. I won't do it again!

(In my defense tho' I actually hadn't even seen BB 2000 yet at the time I wore the costume. Next time tho', baby's gonna need some new shoes...:BB:)

4 inches?! Gaah...I'd fall n' break my neck.

But I'd look sooo good doing it. ;)

Now, if I had had the proper fashion assistance a few years ago, I could've avoided the Buster Blues look (tho' to be honest, I usually don't act my age anyway!) and done a more Blues Sister appropriate get up with either skirt/jacket or pants/jacket.

Baby might still need some new shoes tho'. LOL

And a briefcase.

And....

...a '74 Dodge...

How about a 4 inch '74 Dodge? I am sure you could handle THAT!
