You know, since joining this fandom, one thing I've discovered is that there are always going to be multiple versions of a particular piece of music.
A song that has captured my love is "John the Revelator". I've always had a fondness for gospel music (see the ACM thread further down!), so I wanted to try and find an original version of it. (I finally came across the Son House version, though according to Wiki, there's an earlier version by Blind Willie Johnson).
I came across another version of it during this hunt. It... has the theme of talking about John, and what he saw, but it doesn't follow the same call and response chorus used in the Son House and Blind Willie Johnson versions. The version I have is by Michael English.
I thought y'all might be interested, 'cause it has a sort of bouncy, blues feel to it -- and a great harp line!

Just made me think, you know, it might be fun to hear Elwood and Zee performing it with the band. ^_^
