As a beer connoisseur (self titled :P), I'm picky with the beers I drink. There's some I absolutely won't touch, and there's some I can drink anytime!

So I'm curious what everyone else here drinks? List as many as you like, and if you can be bothered you're welcome to sort them from most-least favorite :P

I'll start:
  • Stella Artois (Belgian)
  • Peroni (Italian)
  • Sol (Mexican)
  • Corona (Mexican)
  • James Squire Golden Ale (Australian)
  • Beez Neez (Australian)
  • Heineken (Dutch)

Those are the beers I like the most, not necessarily in that order. Some are imported, some are Australian, and some of them I'll only drink if they're on tap. With summer on it's way here in Australia, the thought of a cold Corona with a slice of lime on a hot day is sounding increasingly tempting!

If you can, please try to post the country the beer comes from (even if it's been produced/bottled locally) :)

Can't wait to see what everyone else likes, and hopefully discover something new! :D

Hadn't heard of Jupiler or Kriek Lindemans, but looked them up and the Jupiler looks familiar! I think I've seen it for sale at our local beer shop in the imported section!
Kriek Lindemans looks interesting! A cherry beer! I've tried a chocolate beer and a mixed fruit beer (both were Floris beer), but never cherry! I'll have to find some! :D

I've only had Miller once, but I liked it! Also, I bought a 6 pack of beer for $20, it was a sample pack of European beers from Germany (x2), Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria and The Netherlands. The first German beer is "DAB Dortmunder Original", the second one is "Radeberger Pilsner". I haven't tried them yet so I don't know if I like them :)

I don't know if I've had Sam Adams before, but it's a little harder to find here. I'll keep an eye out for it!

Are those beers from smaller local breweries? Or are they widely distributed in the USA?

Chocolate beer is actually really nice!

The trick is to let the beer warm up a little bit after you open the bottle, and after a few minutes (5-10) it should have a strong chocolate smell but the taste won't be as strong. It's surprisingly good!

Another one I haven't had, I've only ever seen regular Becks for sale here. But I'll keep an eye out for that one as well :D

Primarily a Sam Adams drinker here as well, and agreed I love all the different seasonals and varieties. Sam, incidentally, also makes a chocolate boch that's quite tasty! Also a fan of trying most any new small batch brewery beer I haven't tried before, made some fun finds that way (Abita Purple Haze, for instance). Sam's current seasonal 12-pack includes 2 each of the tradional Sam Boston Lager, along with Cherry Wheat, Octoberfest (yum!), Brown Ale, Irish Red, and a new one, Dunkelweisen (a dark wheat beer). Viva la difference!

Haha. I'm not much of a connoisseur, more of an enthusiast. :P I've been loyal to the Molson Label the whole time. First Molson Export...

Posted Image

When I went out West and discovered they didn't ship Ex over the Rockies, I switched to Molson Dry ...

Posted Image

A bit more kick at 5.5 % alcohol. As a chauffeur at the time, I quickly realized this was not a good driving beer. ... Just Kidding, just kidding. It remains to this day my favourite beer.

I also love them there Tall Boys of Molson Canadian ...

Posted Image

:D

I really should try more of my local stuff. The last local brand I bought really caught my eye ...

Posted Image

I don't really go for the pilsner but I had to buy 6 bottles of that!

As for imported beer, Stella Artois, absolutely. It's on tap at the local pub or available in bottles, cans, or Tall Boy cans :D at our local LCBO. The same place they sell Dan's wine, but not his vodka. :BB:

Did you know that Stella has to be served correctly?

It's a 9 step process!

They actually have competitions for the "perfect pour":

Luckily the Belgian Beer Cafe in my city has experts on pouring Stella properly:

I'll pimp some Texas beers for anyone who cares. I don't drink, so I have no idea if they're good or not.

Lone Star Beer is brewed in San Antonio, and they actually had an ofshoot brewery right here in Brenham for a while, not far from where my roomate works. It's closed now. I should go grab some pics of the building one day.

Shiner Bock from the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, TX.

A fun article I found on the "Star-Bock compromise", involving the Brenham brewery.
Realbeer.com: Beer News: Star Bock compromise

Then there's Ziegenbock, an Anheuser-Busch creation "for Texans, by Texans." I don't know much about it.

There's the Hub City Brewery in Lubbock, which is just a brewpub. I don't know about the beer, but the steak there is pretty great!
