Don't know if this is the place to post this or not, but there is an auto museum just north of Chicago called the Volo Auto Museum. They have some cars from movies including a Bluesmobile. Could not find out from anyone if it was actually used in the movie or not.

You wanna buy that Bluesmobile, emtppt? Only 35K :o. Haha, no it's not a movie car. Neither was their other one that they sold to the Chicago Blackhawks. Here's a good thread about this car ...

Yeah, we took our youth group there a couple of years ago. It was nice, but the cars they have for sale have HUGE price tags on them; I don't think even Jay Leno would pay their prices.:BB:LOL

Although I'm sure I'd have a great time at the museum, I'm totally against George Barris in every way. The man makes a living stealing credit for other people's work!

George’s creations are pop culture legend and as famous as the movies themselves.
"We're on a mission from God...It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
With that line, the Blues Brothers sped off in the George Barris designed Bluesmobile for a memorable ride through the Dixieland Mall, southeast of Chicago.

I'd recommend creating a new thread in the Bluesmobiles For Sale forum, that way you can show that you're looking to buy a Bluesmobile. Also, make sure you read through the threads to see if there are any for sale still in your area

Wow, that's the first time I've heard him take credit for the Bluesmobile! I knew he claimed the BTTF Delorean and the Ectomobile, but never the Bluesmobile!

Isn't there a way we can expose this poser?
On second thought he's not worth the effort.

Believe me, dozens of fans have tried. He's even been sued for taking credit for the Delorean!
Check out the Rumors/Lawsuit section on Wikipedia:
George Barris (auto customizer) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It looks like what he does is builds replicas of the originals, and then claim he designed/built the originals in the movies. Or he buys the originals and takes the credit.
His only real work seems to be the original Batmobile, the Munster Coach and the truck from the Beverly Hillbillies, plus a few other less significant vehicles.
