No, not just his cartoon likeness (like his "Cheez Whiz" appearance as Elwood), he will actually be lending his voice to an upcoming episode of the series!

The episode is an homage to the Dan Aykroyd/Chevy Chase movie "Spies Like Us", with the episode titled "Spies Reminiscent of Us".

It will feature the voices of both Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase, who reprise their roles from the 1985 comedy. They "play spies who move into Cleveland's old house, while Brian and Stewie wind up in Russia following them".

The episode is the fourth of Family Guy's eighth season, and is scheduled to air on October 18th on FOX.

i could just imagine the Blues Brother band & Elwood performing the theme tune... now that would be awesome if htye could record it for the closing titles! there are a few vids knocking round on YouTube of marching bands performing the theme at shows.

I think they did a good job of translating Dan's look into the Family Guy universe!

That's because he's facing another direction, so that's the other side of his hair. I guess. FG animation does that.

Well occasionally I use a proxy to get around it (except it takes about 5 minutes for the video to load ). The rest of the time I just use torrents (or I can wait 12 months and watch it on Australian TV).

I should add that I own all of the Family Guy and American Dad DVDs, I may download the TV episodes as they're aired in the USA, but I buy the DVDs to support the show. If nobody bought the DVDs, they'd stop making it!

I was looking at some movie trailers and saw the trailer for Spies Like Us, which this episode will be (loosely?) based on. I'd still say watch this movie if you can, but here's the theatrical trailer from 1985 ...

Yep, Donna is in this movie too, also directed by John Landis. It's been a long time since I've seen it. There are many familiar cameos in this movie!

Man the oddest cameo in that movie has to be Sam Raimi.. no rhyme or reason for having him.. he's just a guy with a machine gun..
