Chaplin (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't know if any of you have watched this one yet, but you really should. It actually got me interested in the real Charlie Chaplin back in high school, and Robert Downey Jr. does an amazing job. He's got the look down (thanks in part, of course, to the makeup department). In fact, the actor resemblances for the major characters are pretty good. But then there's the minor characters...I'm guessing they got in on acting ability and representation of personality, because....well, Dan is playing Keystone director Mack Sennett.

Um....they're both.....Canadian. Well, they have Dan's hair styled the right way anyhow. I don't know, what do you guys think?

Haven't seen the film, but honestly, for minor characters it doesn't matter if they really look like the original. Who would really know? (Well, except for Takk, who looked it up!)

Chaplin is one of those that I went in to watch a "Danny movie", and came out with a new "regular movie" favorite. He's in it, and he's good, but he's not in it a lot, and the movie itself is good as a whole. :) "Unconditional Love" is another, and I went to see "Loser" for its own merits (and I had actually forgotten he was in it until the movie started). Some I liked pre-fandom: "My Fellow Americans", "Casper" (but always loved the BG cameo, even though I hadn't seen those movies either!), "Tommy Boy", and the "My Girl" movies (because you focus on Vada and Thomas J when you're ten, not the grownups).
