Have had so much fun with my 77 Dodge bluesmobile and always wanted to do an 87 Crown Victoria Men In Black 1 clone. Well I bought an 86 crown vic in decent shape (74km on the odometer). The two years 86 and 87 are virtually identical, except for minor interior differences. It is blue, so will be going in for a black recoat this fall. The interior is blue and MINT. The movie car had a grey interior, but they are hard to find. Blue or tan was my second choice. I will be putting on some black 15" Ford econoline rims and dogdish hubcaps with new black wall tired ... police size of course.
The only thing I have planned to change with the outward look is to tint the windows. The car was really plain Jane optioned with no AC ........ more HP to the wheels :BB:
Has anyone else done one of these ?
Cheers

Hello "Mr.Mercer"
I totally agree with you at leaving the vinyl graphics off of the car. When I saw what the museum did to it, was not impressed. About 3 yrs ago I had a chance to buy an original from the movie for around $2k, but it was 3000 miles away in San Diego .. too far.

I got everything I need....almost...

In March 2008, there was this '87 Crown Vic that came up for sale.

The story was that this car was used in MIB II. I can't remember if it sold or for how much. Awesome looking car!
