Were the tires and rims on the movie cars a standard size or larger than usual?

Unless I am ridiculously mistaken, the rims were probably standard 15 inch, but police issue. I am not aware of many cars having much larger than 15 inch rims back then. The tires would have been a special tire I assume, just like today's cars, but also in a 15 inch size. Hope someone can clarify this for us.

The Police brochure I have for the '74 Monaco A38 sedans list G78 x 15's, H78 x 15's, and another size whose H-series I can't make out, but it's a 15 inch, also....;)

Thanks for the info Ghost. A quick check brought up new tires that are available in those sizes.
Universal Vintage Tire (Universal Vintage Tire) - G78-15's for $119 a piece - Universal Vintage Tire
and H78-15's for $125 a piece - Universal Vintage Tire

Coker Tire (http://www.coker.com/) has the H78-15's but only as wide whitewalls. They do not list the G78-15's.
Both Lucas Classic Tires and Diamond Back Classic Radials have no listings for those tires. eBay also didn't have any police issue tires for Monacos listed.
