a year or two ago, i was surfing the net and i came accross a fanfic that a couple girls wrote. it was about how two friends had a set of jake and elwood blues dolls and the girl that had the jake doll was having to wake up everyday with jake not being where she left him the night before, so they end up calling up dan aykroyd and he shows up, thats when belushi's ghost appears and stirs up trouble and they have to chase after him.

theres more but i cant think of how to put it into words. does anyone know where or who write it if its clear enough?

thanks in advance

Oh my lord, that was mine. :P "The Belushi Haunting Incident", a trilogy with two glaring Mary Sues - myself and my best friend at the time.

Holy lord, I didn't think anyone actually read that. We were in junior high and early high school when we came up with those. I did most of the writing. It was going to end up that it wasn't really John, but some kind of demon or evil spirit that had taken the form of his ghost, and the real John was trapped in another dimension.

I am flattered...I think.

If I have it, it's on paper only in my keepsake trunk. I will try to remember to look for it, but I don't promise anything. I took it offline, then I've had several hard drive crashes/reformats since then.

I will, however, shoot off an email to the friend I wrote it with to see if she has a digital copy. It will only be the first two parts since I never did finish it as a "trilogy".

My friend was supposed to check her USB sticks (they had to sell their laptop). Of course, she said that the day after my last post to this thread and I still haven't heard from her. She pretty much dropped the fandom mid-high school, so it probably won't occur to her for a while. I haven't gone digging in my trunk yet.

So I'm not purposely holding out, I just haven't gotten to it. I don't know why anyone wants it anyway, it's embarassingly Sue-filled. More than our old "Texas Blues Saga."

Mary Sues can be a whole lot of fun... if they are written well, and they don't take themselves too seriously...

And about your "so-called friend..." She dropped the fandom? What is her major malfunction?

She "grew up" and out of it, I guess. I never really did figure it out. She started acting kinda bitter about it, like I'd forced it on her or something. I don't know, I could be totally off-base, but that's how it came across to me.

Bitter about the brothers? WTH?

Maybe she felt that she had to like them in order to be one of the cool kids? ;)

Considering we were the uncool kids, probably not. ;)

ZOMG, I found the stupid thing. I was going back through some of my unfinished (non-fanfic) writings, and realized I didn't check the most obvious place, which was the folder I made labeled "FANFIC - RETIRED". *headdesk*

Hoping it will let me attach a ZIP file. Inside it are the HTML pages pulled straight off of EGBB, parts 1 and 2. I wondered if I should write up...something to finalize it. If I did, it would probably under 5 chapters...and only posted to this forum. And don't take any of this musing as any kind of promise.

LOL, thanks. I always thought I should sit down and do a rewrite. De-cheeze everything, like I did with my guardian angels "un-trilogy", but my heart just isn't in it too much.

Still, glad you like it. ;)

Funny that this thread should pop back up. I was browsing for stock photos on DeviantART for various art projects I'm working on, and I happened to run across one of a house in the middle of a desolate field that more or less looks like the setting for what would have been the third part of this series.

Background 53 by *AlbaStock on deviantART

The outside looked like utter crap like this, but when you went inside it had been all fancied up and was much bigger inside than it should have been, and doors to the outside didn't work properly once you got inside unless JB wanted it to.

I had also written a swimming pond/lake in the backyard of this place -- a mostly dry pit in the ground next to a dead tree when you first arrived, nice green grass and full of cool water with a willow tree and a rope swing when JB lets the Sue Crew outside. In the above picture you can kind of see some sort of water in the background behind the house.

I just thought it was a cool find that I'd share with anyone who cared to know.
