Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown give a lesson on the way of the blues

Dan Aykroyd took his two-speech role as master of ceremonies at the New York State Blues Fest in Clinton Square on Saturday seriously.
The old Blues Brother didn't merely introduce headliner Savoy Brown. He gave the crowd a deep and true history lesson about the way guitarist Kim Simmonds and his band reeducated America about the blues in the mid-1960s.
Of course, you can't completely take the comic out of the actor, so then Aykroyd brought the band on with the words: "A band I failed college to, Savoy Brown!"
