The June 29 issue of Auto Week had a top seven movie car.
Number 7 Lighting McQueen
Number 6 The Deathmobile animal house
Number 5 The Minis from The Italian Job
Number 4 The Bluesmobile
Number 3 Milners Coupe American Graffiti
NUmber 2 Bullitt mustang Frank Bullitt
Number 1 The Porsche 917 from Le Mans.
The picuture they used for the Blues Mobile isn't the orginal it looks like it has mudflaps and the siren on the roof is held on with roof racks, and there are 3 guys in the car... But still very happy and proud of our car is so high up. I sent a letter to auto week and thanked them...
PS Car and driver did a story about some fuffy new suv's at a mall in Detroit. They had the cars zipping around the mall.. I wrote them a letter and said, you were in a mall with these foofy suv's and you didn't even think to have a Bluesmobile somewhere in the shot????? Car and driver has so gone down hill............ They used to be cutting edge.. Kinda like Letterman.....

How much would you expect to pay for a bluesmobile (I know NOTHING about cars, don't even know the make....so)
Just wondering if you knew? Glad to see the death car in there - great movie. And the minis from the Italian Job was pretty memorable but the bluesmobile should have been higher up. Definitely.

'Five grand? No problem, we'll have it for you in the morning. Let's go, Elwood.

I would replace number seven w/ Herbie.
(and maybe even move him up a couple places)
It's neat to see that 1 and 2 are both Steve McQueen films, and
Lighting McQueen (I believe) was named as reference back to "Le Mans".

TK, I read this on "wiki" so it's gotta be ... questionable.
