It seems we're losing a celebrity, acquaintance or family member on an almost daily basis!
It's for this reason I feel a need for a Memorial thread so that we may offer our condolences and thoughts for those that have touched or influenced our lives in some way or measure.

As much as I wanted this poster, I had to beg off as my wife wouldn't have approved but by the same token, she couldn't deny that this woman was stunning!

And now Michael Jackson as well. Weird day. Add Ed McMahon from the other day and maybe that's our three for this cycle...

Dearly beloved and departed, we are gathering here today to say our final sayonaras to...Michael Jackson?! *Checks name, checks news and whatnot, etc.; shrugs* Yes, Michael Jackson. So help me by the name of our Lord this is not a prank nor was I paid to say this, anyway...yes, Michael Jackson aka The King of Pop. Michael Jackson is also known as a child molestor....but we shall drift away from this upon this man's dying day. Michael Jackson was at home when he suffered cardiac arest and when the ambulence arrived, it was too late- for he had no pulse and was thus, rendered deceased.

Michael Jackson was a man of music who made numerous hits from Billie Jean to Thriller and many more. He was a man that most people remember for his good traits or bad but nonetheless, he was popular unto his dying day. May he rest in peace and may his nose stay on even in Heaven; nonetheless, rest in peace, Michael Jackson. *puts on Thriller*

I still remember seeing him on the Ed Sullivan Show!!

He did have an awesome, natural talent (A half a bubble out of plumb perhaps) but gifted!

Do they have to be recent deaths?
See, the problem with my brother and me is, we are recidivists, habitual criminal offenders. No attorney wants to go near us. I got to find him a lawyer, I don't know what I'm gonna do!

MJ was a shock, Farah (I had the poster) and Ed McMahon - wow. The one that gets me was Ed. I grew up with MJ, I was 13 or 14 when Thriller came out but I LOVED, even as a kid, to watch Johnny Carson. Loved Johnny, Ed and Doc.
One scary soul band as mean and righteous as a fist.

Not necessarily...

We may wish to express some remembrances of our loved ones or those that made a difference.

People have been calling/predicting his death since 1973,he's gone to a few of his doctors' funerals.......I think he's safe for now.

Keep making the "Keith is dead" jokes though, because it seems to give him power...:P

Keith Richards is the Chuck Norris of defying odds.

Man, The Streets Of San Francisco was one of the many cop shows of the day!

This was after a successful movie career as well.
But who (besides us old farts) could forget that he first used the American Express slogan, "Don't leave home without them".

It's been 27 years, but I thought I owed it to him.
