Shocked to hear about his death on the radio a few hours ago, and even more shocked to read this:

Quote

BANGKOK - Actor David Carradine, a born seeker and cult idol who broke through as the willing student called "grasshopper" in the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" and decades later as leader of an assassin squad in "Kill Bill," was found dead Thursday in Thailand. Police said he appeared to have hanged himself...

The news reports today are pretty much confirming what I had hoped was not the case.

Of all the crazy fetishes, that one has got to be the craziest.
Well... at least his memory won't have the word *suicide after it.

I'm not sure if it is online anywhere, but I heard the report this morning on radio station "WLUP" (Chicago).

The report described the condition and state of dress he was found in, the use of "multiple curtain cords" (and where they were located) and the police reports that the death was likely an accident.

After adding up the facts the reporter(s) made their own speculation on what had happened.
(It does seem that the pieces do fit the puzzle)

But... nothing is official yet, hence my phrase "...pretty much confirming".

No one can say for sure just yet, and IMO, might possibly never be able to.

My brothers and I never missed Kung-Fu.

Thursday morning I had a few minutes to catch some news on the tv, saw that David Carradine had died. Less than an hour later I'm looking at the comics in the paper, top right, first one my eyes landed on ...
