According to the latest news only 2 of the 10 original band member are still involved with the Blues Brothers Band.If even Steve Cropper left, what will happen??There will be no Blues Brothers Band anymore? It is not fair!!
Is this the real Blues Brothers Band?

Who's the other one? And any of those other originals have any plans to pop in every now and then?

Willie Hall was never really involved outside of the movies.
Tom Malone is busy with Letterman.
Murphy Dunne was never really involved outside of the movies.
Donald 'Duck' Dunn doesn't play much with the Blues Brothers anymore, but he's still playing with the MG's.
Matt Murphy is still recovering from his stroke.
Steve Cropper, Blue Lou and Mr Fabulous are all still involved.

oh something i wanted to ask for a long time: why didn`t they put steve "getdwa" jordan in the movie?
i know, paul shaffer could not get out of his snl contract. was it the same with jordan?
but i think on "made in america" both, shaffer and murphy dunne were in the band.

Yea, Murphy Dunne was in the band during the summer 1980 tour. Jake actually introduces him as "The politician of the group, from Murph and the Magic Tones, Murphy Dunne!" He also says "You vote for him now, ya hear?"

The Blues Brothers Band was on "Ohne Filter Extra" in 1990. Did you happen to see the show? I saw you were from Germany, and I was curious...
They had a guest keyboard player by the name of Jill "Dr. G" Goldstein that night. He was pretty good. Larry Thurston did "You Don't Know Like I Know" and Eddie Floyd did "Soaps" new that performance.

I've actually got Tower of Power Live in 1998 on Ohne Filter DVD.
They have a catalog of all their shows, and I saw it had Blues Brothers Band listed, but I've been trying to track it down. I hope they release it on DVD like all their other concerts!

@ human biped: i am into blues brothers since the year of 2000 only. *ashamed*
some weeks ago i found out that the blues brothers band (the original, without aykroyd or belushi or goodman though) performed on an open air concert in 1998 in a town only 5 kilometers away from me.
i was so mad at myself for not being there. the colonel and duck dunne only 5 kms away from me!!! but hey, there is nothing i con do now but hope that i will have the chance of seeing them again sometimes :-)
