As it has been reported, they are touring Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka in the week of July 13th.

Great news is, Alan "Mr.Fabulous" Ruben is rejoining the band!!
It has been 'ALMOST' 8 years since I saw him in the band in Blue Note Tokyo in 2001, if I remember correctly.

Here is the info on the band:
Steve 'The Colonel' Cropper (Guitar)
Lou 'Blue Lou' Marini(Saxophone)
Alan 'Mr.Fabulous' Rubin (Trumpet)
John 'Smokin' Tropea(Guitar)
Leon 'The Lion' Pendarvis(Keyboards)
Eric 'The Red' Udel (Bass)
Lee 'Funkytime' Finklestein(Drums)
Larry 'Trombonius Maximus' Farrell(Trombone)
Jonny 'Rock And Roll Doctor' Rosch(Vocals/Harmonica)
Bobby 'Sweet Soul' Harden(Vocals/Tokyo)
Glen Palmer(Background Vocals)

Not to mention, it is great to see The colonel, Blue Lou, and Mr.Tropea as well!

I don't have much info on the new front people. Anybody tells me!

You can see how well three of the original members are doing in the following video. Do enjoy!:

Nice video! And glad Lou came back for this tour! Sadly, seems they won´t play in Europe this summer... :)

Jonny Rosch is a very good showman, so don´t worry! He´s really funny and put the attitude pretty well!
Bobby Harden is a friend of him, soul singer, so it seems he´ll do Eddie´s part for this gig.

Hello to all you "Fabulous" people out there in Blues Brothers Central land! It has been quite a while since I've posted anything so forgive me. It's not that I don't check this wonderful site often but more because there was not much for me to say. I do, however, love reading what everybody in the community is doing and talking about so ... thank you. We are in Tokyo right now and last night was the first two shows of the tour. I am lying in bed ... aching ... sore ... and very happy to be back with my bandmates. (I'm a little mad at Cropper though because he bought me one too many cocktails after the show. Warning: never mix red wine, sake, whiskey and beer with 4 whole chickens and a coke. I'm paying for it this morning. My advice? Skip the 3rd chicken.) Anyway, the boys from BBBCB stoped by and helped us rock the show last night so I want to give them a special shout out. True fans, true devotees and true gentlemen. They were great! I'll have limited e-mail time on this tour but will do my best to provide a few short blogs on the band. Blue Lou and I were talking over dinner last night about how cool this website is and so, once again, our thanks to all of you for all your continued support. Until next time, much love - Jonny "The Rock & Roll Doctor" Rosch. (a.k.a. Joliet Jonny)

Wow! Jonny Joliet-san, himself! Thanks sooooooooooo much for the last night's show! You really rocked the house, man! Me and Jake-T were so excited to be up on the stage with you guys and dance and sing "Soul man"!!! I've got to tell you that this was and will be the greatest moment in my life!

Can you imagine, you as just another BB fan, get up on the stage, where all these superstar musicians are playig, including the original members of the movie, and sing and dance with them!!?? Funny thing was, people in the audience just stopped by after the show and thanked us, asking for being in a picture with us.. We had to say, "it is not us who made it great. we are just enjoying ourselves!"
Boy, we had great fun last night.

Brother Joliet Jonny, thank you again for the great performance. You are a great singer, as well as a great harmonica player (Mississippi saxophone?)!!
I know sometimes you would need to deal with strong/strange alchohol wherever you go around the globe, and be prepared for "Shochu" when you go to Fukuoka, where local people there are much stronger in sake than any other part of the country.

Anyway, me and Jake-T are going back to see you people on Thursday, 2nd show. So, see you there soon!

we are on a mission from god!!

I tried to find pics or videos of the Japan gigs but I didn´t have luck. The only "new" thing I found was this pic: http://www.billboard-live.com/event_img/main/detail/dtl_06990_1.jpg?4a61ddd2084980.64135485

They use in some japanese webs to advertise the gigs.
