I'm gonna try to gather up some cars and parts. I need a list of what is needed and by whom. I drive a truck for a living so I can get around the country and Canada. I know of several in a junkyard and some at those demo guys yards. I'm not doing this to get rich, just trying to help out fellow car owners. post a list of what are hard to find parts.

Okay, now that I've gotten the smartass reply out of my system, here's my serious answer:

A Bluesmobile starter car.Exactly what I mean by that is this:A 1974-77 Dodge Monaco/Royal Monaco 4dr sedan that is in good enough condition to warrant the time and effort (not to mention money);but not so good that it's "too nice" to convert. It's preferable that it has a 440 and is a police package, but anything from a 360 up is cool.

(318s are great, but it seems like a car that size needs more)

When you say "cars and parts" what exactly do you mean?Is storage space an issue? The reason I ask is because of the fact that as of now,I don't have the cash to go looking for a car just yet.I have a few things to take care of ,but if all goes according to plan-including the economy-I'll be in a position to begin saving the funds in the beginning of June. The best-case scenario for me would be to be able to start a thread here sometime towards the end of this year saying "I've got XXXX set aside, anyone got a car?",and get a lead right away. With that in mind,in a perfect world for me,someone would be able to tell me they've got one,all I have to do is get the funds together, sort of a "It'll be here when you're ready" kind of a deal.

Before I get myself written off for good, let me please state that I know I'm being picky, arrogant, unreasonable, and somewhat naive, but I'm also realistic and cynical enough to not get my hopes up-I don't get my hopes up about anything any more, but that's another story for another day.

I just wantted to put this out in the open,if for no other reason than to be able to tell someone besides my immediate family.Another reason is the fact that lately there seems to bet a lot of potential Bluesmobiles around ,and I have an irrational fear that the pickin's will dry up as soon as I have money.

I just feel this is something I have to do.

Conversly,if I see anything that may intrest anyone here,I'll post accordingly.

If you just meant parts and cars for only parts, please just ignore this message.:)

well it is more or less for parts but if I come across a clean buildable car I'll pass it along. I know of a Royal Monaco but it is too nice to convert, but if any one is interested it's a 68K mile rust free car.
But since I travel the country I can pick up parts for other members. Just trying to help out.

Third photo up from the bottom...
The split horn ring steering wheel.

I'm also looking for a duel snorkel air cleaner, a headlight switch, and a
stock 8-track player.

In another thread, "Mr Mercer" mentioned that the switch is easy to remove.
That "there is a button on the side that you press to release the knob and shaft first".

Scatpack,
I need a fuel door, if it isn't rusty. Surface rust is okay, but nothing that goes through.

Hey Scat,

My last post got lost in the upgade. I will take any extra fenders you get as well as any front end parts, i.e. header panel, headlamp buckets, headlamp bezels, and bumpers etc.

LMK what you get, and I know I am behind beef and Rob so no biggie, just always buying extra's.

Also still have a 75 cluster left if you still want to trade. Email me at [email protected]

Later buddy,

Huey

Maybe I'll take some inspiration from Johnny Cash, and get a Bluesmobile "One Piece At A Time"

I just don't wanna end up with something like this:
