Damn! I think I just missed it. I've got it on right now and all she's doing is making Easter decorations. Can't handle much more of this... *Turns T.V. back to Hot Fuzz...*

I was sick! He gave her a leather HOB Motorcycle vest with her name on it!!

As much as I liked the episode, he spent 99% of the time marketing his goods, as opposed to kickin' back and 'just being Dan'....

Yeah, he seems to be all about promoting his booze in most public appearances now.

Needs more soul.

Didn't know he would be on. This is why Dan needs a website...I don't follow the Martha Stewart show, so I wouldn't know to check every single talk show site just to see if he's going to be on it.

I agree, to be able to keep up with Dan and all of the appearances he makes, it would really benefit us, and him for that matter, to have an official website.

I think with the lamb being marinated overnight, I would probably eat it without the mint dipping sauce. I'm just not a big fan of mint. I really can't stand those "After Eight" wafer chocolates with the mint in the middle. :P But dang, I loves me them there roasted potatoes!

This lamb lollipop recipe, courtesy of Dan Aykroyd, is a one-of-a-kind dish perfect for Easter or any special meal.

Ingredients - Serves 6 to 8
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh peeled ginger
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for pan
  • 2 tablespoons cracked black pepper
  • 24 lamb chops, frenched and completely trimmed
  • 3 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, quartered
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
Directions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, 1/4 cup oil, and pepper. Place lamb chops in a large shallow baking dish and pour over garlic mixture. Cover and let marinate, refrigerated, overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Oil a large rimmed baking sheet; set aside. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add potatoes and cook until just tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and transfer to prepared baking dish. Add rosemary and drizzle with remaining olive oil.
  • Transfer to oven and roast 15 to 20 minutes. Turn potatoes by shaking sheet and continue roasting, 15 to 20 minutes more, until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, preheat grill or a grill pan over medium high heat. Remove lamb chops from marinade, wiping off any excess and place on grill. Season with salt and pepper, and grill, rotating lamb chops 1/2 turn after 1 minute, and continue grilling until cross-hatch marks form, about 1 minute more. Turn lamb chops and repeat process on opposite side. Transfer chops to a warm plate and let stand 3 to 5 minutes before serving with dipping sauce.

That link has the video now. 2 parts. Part 1 is 13:06, Part 2 is 4:06.

Martha talks for a bit then Dan comes out around 2½ minutes into the segment. From there it does start to feel like an infomercial. The 2nd part is better. Martha was chugging shots of vodka. :BB: No, not the Crystal Head Vodka, apparently Patron has a vodka as well.

Funny stuff about the Hibachi on the back of the bike.
