(go to about the halfway point)
What Dan is talking about in reference to the 6 Bluesmobiles, is he's trying to recall how many were used during filming, not how many survived. Factor in the involvement with the Blackhawks this weekend (Dan dropped the puck for the ceremonial face-off last night) and we're probably talking about the Volo car the Blackhawks bought, as the car that will be on display at Binny's. Hopefully we can find a pic of it later.

I waited in line for him at binny's. I was one of the first people there on saturday, and when it was my turn I shook Dan's hand and told him that I was unable to buy any of his booze until midnight, because I turned 21 on sunday! but I told him that I wanted to come to meet him and shake his hand, and then I took out my harp and played a lick or two for him, and he was taken aback. so then we started talking shop about harmonica's and blues, and he asked me if I was in a band, which I replied no. he then told me that I NEED to find a band, which was a great compliment. so then he asked if there was anything that I would like him to sign, since I couldnt buy any of his booze. so I reached into my wallet and gave him the ticket from when he and Jim came to Chicago back in 2003 with the "Have Love Will Travel" Revue, and told him I was at that show when I was 15 years old. he got a big kick out of that, signed it and gave it back to me. I then proceeded to thank him, he and I exchanged some parting words, and I left.
I later found out that all of this made it onto the evening news that night! video of my harp playing right next to Dan! and with the next day being my birthday, this was pretty much the best present ever!

....and for some reason the links will not work...
Dang and those are good clips. A news anchorman quizes him on random subjects, comparing it to the "Ask Pres. Carter" skit they did. The anchorman asks questions about random subjects and Dan always has and extensive answer.
I'll have to see if I can get those links to work.

Way to go man. What a great birthday weekend (Happy belated Birthday by the way :D). Thanks for the pic. Is there a story behind that Oldsmobile coat? Dan mention anything about the new models being in early this year?
Good luck with those links, 3LWOOD.

3LWOOD, I have been unable to find anything with me personally in it, and ive scoured the net. i wish i had a friend who would have taped it, but it was all so last minute...its okay though, i was there when it happened! haha.
Steam, the olds jacket is something of my own creation. Ive wanted a gm technicians/shop jacket or something like that for a while, but could never find anything...and i was too young to work at a dealership while olds was still around, so i decided to make my own. Ive always loved dickies work jackets, and have one( that is now a bit to snug, lol) that was covered in local police patches and things like that. so i went on ebay and bought a new dickies jacket (dickies name for them is the "eisenhower" jacket) and found a couple of vintage patches, and there you go! i have an "oldsmobile service" patch on the arm you see pictured, a "gm service" patch on the opposite arm, and an "oldsmobile" script patch on the front that you can kinda see. I cant tell you how many people have asked me if i work for GM, or if i worked for Oldsmobile. so apparently i did a pretty good job of replicating their shop jackets! haha.
and sadly, no...Dan didnt mention anything about it, lol.
