used epiphone dot studio.
came with two GFS pups... so first I added a new guard and switch plate..and chrome knobs..with chrome bridge and tailpiece.. went with black graph tech saddles to match the black and chrome theme.. other owner already had chrome grovers on it

truss rod cover to match

then I started thinking the switch cover was too big

but first I added another volume and tone control

a little lemon oil on the body, by the way.. really makes these plain finishes look sharp.
wipe very little on and wipe it off really well..

I tried for a 335 guitar shape.. but lost my patience.. and went for a simple acoustic guitar shaped switch cover.. and then decided to add a series/parallel switch for an extra sound

the snow finally melted so I took it outside and posed it next to a red flametop I've been working on.

the colors really go together better than I thought.. chrome and black with red and red tortoise..

still a few details to work out.. may add a black pickguard bracket.. with chrome screw..
and have a black les paul style output jack plate which I think I'll use.. with chrome screws.
Sounds and plays just fantastic.. the Kent Armstrong P90 humbuck size in the neck is brighter than the GFS Mean 90 humbuck size p90 in the bridge.. so the tonal balance is sweet as can be.
Action is fast after a little truss rod adjustment and bridge adjustment.. may do a tiny bit of fret work and then polish them all up real nice.
I'm going to make an epiphone dot style headstock inlay out of abalone.. my first one chipped on me, so it would up being shaped like a coffin. Not so hot on this guitar so I found a metal head online and gave it to him.
I may then inlay the neck with abalone dots.
Should look pretty trick by golly!
Opinions welcome..
