I guess you could say they are a member.

Great car, but I''ll have to agree w/ El-Wood about it being a bit pricey.

I used to have "666" plates. They're nothing but trouble!

It's a dang nice Bluesmobile. If only it had the splash of red primer as we know it. It'd probably be worth 25K then. Without that splash of primer ... I dunno ... l:ol.

It'll go overseas for 10K is my guess. It's fixed up nice but it's not a true police package. 25K is insane! Nice Mount Prospect decal, is that one of yours, tk?

....and without the certified speedometer....

..not without the right speedometer, among other things.:BB:

That's a great car,but there's "no..****ing..way" I'd pay 25gs for it,unless I had the aforementioned $10 billion.http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum2/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif

I do like some of the creature comforts/modernization items that are on it,though
I got everything I need....almost...

Not mine.
It might have come from "mbmopar".

It does look like what I envision mine to look like, if I were to use the decal.
Although, I believe that if I do use a Mt.P decal, I will distress it (kinda' like my avatar).

Trouble is, the more I look at the result, the more I am torn between that and creating a proper Bluesmobile star.

Ahhh yes ... "mbmopar." He had a Bluesmobile, pre-Elwood. It was in my town (when I wasn't living here) ... never saw it. Except for pics :D. Gorgeous car. 440. I believe he sold it to someone in Minnesota, years ago.

yeah, I saw this car when looking through craigslist ads and I started laughing. people tend to forget that these cars will never be worth as much as they put into them. unless you built a completely custom Bluesmobile with a viper engine and nascar suspension (can you tell ive thought about doing something similar! :BB:).

Seller must think he is the Volo Museum - $25,000 / $35,000, what's the difference? The car looks great but is just way too overpriced. As mentioned above, if this was a genuine K-code car - you might be able to get away with at least asking that much, though I doubt it would still fetch that. I remember the K-code Huey sold overseas went for $11K (I think that was the price). For a car like this, considering what the seller has done to it - $3,500-$4,500 should be the base since this is a civilian car, and I would allow him to add on for some of the extra work provided he has receipts. In the end, the selling price would be a lot less than the $25,000 wanted.

It is a very nice looking machine though.

If this guy is in Manhattan, $25K is the functional equivalent of about $11K. Everything from real estate to a bagel is double the price it should be on the real market. He could probably get $25K from a New Yorker, but doesn't realize that anywhere else, he's shooting too high.

But that's just my opinion.

And what's that worth, Jo-Jo Bean? :) *smmmoooocchh* Haha gotcha. You shouldn't have looked behind you when I yelled, "Look Behind You!" :)

It will take someone with more money than brains to pay 25K for this car. lol. I don't blame Axl (the seller) for trying. I mean why the hell not? The guy knows what it's worth, he's a member here!! Some Wall St. millionaire might say, yeah get it. Heh, eventually though, reality will set in ...

I live in NY and I e-mailed the wanker and asked if he was serious about the price and if the $25,000 was a mistype, still no reply haha.

I love the 74 Monaco's but it's not worth the price of a 2010 Mustang convertible!

Anyone think he set the bar that high knowing he'd never get it?

Maybe his wife told him to sell the thing, but he really doesn't want to part with it...
