So you're talking about the new Windows Live Mail, for @thebluesbros.com?

It's hosted by Microsoft, and at first it has to be setup.
The first time you send an email it asks you to verify that you're not a spammer.
It did it to me as well when I sent my first email.
I just logged in now and sent an email to 10 people, it worked fine.

Here's what the website says:

Quote

When you try to send an e-mail message to multiple recipients, you may receive an error message that states that you must remove some recipients before you can send your message. You may also receive this error message if you’ve sent several messages to many different recipients in the same day.

If you receive this error message, reduce the number of recipients to the number that is indicated in the error message, and then try to send your message again.

To help reduce the amount of junk e-mail sent from Windows Live Hotmail accounts, we limit the number of recipients that you can send a message to at one time. As you develop a reputation for not sending junk e-mail, we increase the number of recipients that you can send messages to.

The first thing you did when you logged in was try to send a newsletter out, of course your account got flagged as a possible spammer. Even Gmail does this sometimes, if you try to send too many emails at once it makes you wait, which is why I have designed the forum to send out no more than 30 emails per batch, and only run the batches once every 10 minutes. So the most emails I can send in one hour is 180. Basically I queue up the newsletter, press send, and it sends out batches until everyone is done.

So if I have 3000 members (not all of them are subscribed to the newsletter), it will take 16 hours to finish sending to them, it eases the strain on the server and GMail doesn't suddenly block my account for sending unusual amounts of mail.

If Everyone.net let you send bulk mail without getting your account blocked, that's probably because they're a shoddy company with a 3rd rate product. And even though it might have taken you less time to send your emails out, I guarantee because you were sending via everyone.net instead of live.com, more of your newsletters would have ended up automatically marked as spam. Because Gmail and live.com are considered more reliable and have these anti-spam features built in, your messages are more likely to end up in people's inboxes.

I know it's a little frustrating at the moment, but considering the amount of ads that everyone.net was running, and their questionable reliability, in the long run this change will be worthwhile.

They've just restored free accounts. Let's look at the differences:
Everyone.net vs Live.com
Storage: 1GB vs 5GB
Ads: 2 flash banners and regular popups vs only 1 banner
POP3: No vs Yes

And everyone.net will delete your email messages if you don't read them every 60 days!
I still have emails in my live.com account from 2004!

Essentially what you get from Live.com now for free is what you have to pay $49.95 per year to Everyone.net for.
