I am a pizza and beer inspector. It may sound like a sweet job but the hours ... the hours. It never ends. Imagine being called during the week ... "We have a new pub/pizza joint just opened, can you get over there immediately to eat pizza and drink beer?" I'm like ... uhhh, ok. I'm on my way!

During normal human hours I'm required to take the bus, late night I have an expense account for cab fare. I used to drive myself but there was that incident at the pizza and beer joint in Quebec ... merde! :( The chase continued across the bridge back into Ontario so I shouldn't really be driving, well ... anywhere. As if.

The job went to hell, the company started falling apart around me, all my friends started quitting. They announced that my hours were going to change in March (in a bad way), and my job will be changing as well (also in a bad way). I was getting too stressed out, and when I realised the only thing keeping me sane were the glasses of straight bourbon I was drinking every night, thats when I put in my resignation :)
That was only a few weeks ago though, started in July 2007 and finished in January 2009.

I am a student and a professional archaeologist.

When this alien life form comes out of my belly, I might get a part time job in Steam's field, too.

Full-time, I'm the MIS guy for the Chicago office of a company that provides free after-school tutoring to inner-city kids. Part-time, I teach test prep classes for the other division of our company. What's really cool is that despite the recession, our company is doing extremely well this year -- that and my division is funded by the feds based on No Child Left Behind, so if I lose my job, it's not because of the recession...

Also an amateur desktop musician...I don't want to call it a band because I'm currently the only member, so the name of my "project" is Scattered Frog...first album is going to be called Cooler By The Lake.

Well That's it really.

Elwood-leaving the next generation with nothing but recycled, digitally sampled techno grooves, quasi synth rhythms, pseudo songs of violence laden gangsta rap, acid pop, and simpering, saccharine, soulless slush.

I'm a Warehouse Manager for a heavy-equipment parts supply company.I'm also in charge of shipping and recieving. We have locations all up and down the east coast, some Midwest (including one in Chicago http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum2/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif ) The next time you see anything bigger than a passenger car on the highway, chances are it's got a part from us on or in it,either directly or indirectly.

We're here for all your hydraulic needs......;)

Chris, sorry to hear that, you're in my thoughts.
I got everything I need....almost...

I supervise tech support for medical software. Been at the same company for coming up on 27 years now... which sounds cool until I remind myself, I likely have 15-20 more to go!

There's crop circles in my field! Which would require a part-time archæologist. y'know ... because the aliens leave stuff under the circles! Would you consider, instead of a salary, all the beer and pizza you could possibly eat or drink? Mull it over. Crop circle season approaches. A good archæologist is hard to find!
