Hello everybody. The Title Pretty Much says it all. Here is the Story.
MAY 2007
My Mother's Best friends Daughter was graduating from high school in a little town called Drayton (30 miles from Canada, 3 hours from Fargo ND) and we were there for the Celebration for a few days. It was my first time being at the farm, A small family owned Business with 5,000 Acres and lots of cool things. 4 ATV's 7+ snowmobiles (And a prototype of the first one ever made) 5 horses and 10+ cars laying around the farm, getting rusted. the newest addition was set in a area in 1981. but wile exploring the farm on my 2nd day there, i wandered into the combine Garage (Or as it's called at the farm "West Shed") i walked around the combines, Viewing them proudly. but in front of them , was a car. I sat and looked at the car ofr a wile and fell in love with it. i could only see the front end, but that was enough to take my breath away. I left the farm the next day, only viewing the car once over the weekend.

FEBUARY 2008

I was home from school, another week to go until my 4 day weekend, and some homework to catch up on. But dad suprised me that night after a phone call with Kim (moms best friend) to go to the farm. I definitly said yes, so that 4 day weekend we took the wonderfull 6 hour ride in a Cramped 1981 Caddy that the guys at the farm just got working. It was just my brother and me, but with all the pillows, blankets, and emergency stuff, it was hard to breath after the 4th hour. The trip was realy dangerous too. the gravel road to the farm after we drove through drayton was covered in 2 feet of ice with ditches 10 feet deep on both sides of the road, not to mention the tempiture was -60. we unpacked and had a good weekend, playing in the high snow drifts, digging tunnels etc. but then i remembered the Car. i ran to the west shed, opened the door and saw the combines. It was about 5:30, so there was litteraly no light in the shed. as I walked past dump trucs and tractors, the wind picked up and the whole shed started to groan. i was scared at first, but i remembered what i came here for and kept going. I reached the area where i last saw the car. it was not there. i paniced, thinking the owner had sold it, or put it outside to rust. but on my way out, I tripped over it's Trailer hitch. it was now 5:45 and the only thing i could see was the yellow of the combines, so the car had to wait until tomarrow.;) the next day around 11:30 i came back to the car and read the rear emblem. "Chevelle" it said. i took pics, but they later on became deleated by my brother, accidently pressing the wrong button. i left the farm with pics that weekend, and 3 days later had none. the so called "Chevelle" had to be rememberd in my mind.

AUGUST 2008
it's been a good summer. attending airshows, Mt. Rushmore on july 4th and the WBL realy for life event. it got better when we went back to the farm. this time in a 2005 Ford Excursion Limited edition.:D I was happy, and didn't remember the Chevelle until the next day, when i found the automatic ATV and rode it over through mud, dirt water and "Gumbo" to the West shed. all the doors were opened, and with the Combines out you could play tennis in there. But the Chevelle was still at it's spot I swa it last. This time I took lots of pics. (Will post l8r) and even sent a pic on my phone to my dad, who wants me to have his 99 malibu when i turn 16. I had mixed feelings on oening the door, to see the mileage, because the last time i opened a car door on the farm it got stuck and we had to get 3 people to close it. I asked Kim who's it was and she said Earl. Earl has been working on the farm for what iv'e herd since he graduated form Grand forks. i noticed a few more things about the Chevelle. on the side it had a "SS" emblem and a "350" under it. it also has an extra RPM meter on the steering wheel. I looked at it more and More. every day until i left.

MARCH (Spring Break) 2009.
more to come

Here is what i am having trouble with. I got home in august and did my research.
it is a 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle "Super Sport" red, 350 block. I don't know how to ask the owner if i should have it. Earl knows me a little bit, knows i love the farm, the fridge full of Coke, Mtn Dew, and Vodka (For the older guys not me) and the shop. But he dosen't know i love his old car. I have a few weeks until break, when i plan to go back up to the farm, and woulkd like some Opinions.

How do I ask for it without being sudden or forceful?;)

Help!

Nice car. Wrong site. ;)

What is your favourite Elwood quote?

*lol* Just ribbin' ya, Barko. Heck of a story. The -60 degrees sounds kinda wild, though. The Chevelle SS is a sweet ride.

I know. they need to keep the cars that run Plugged into something in the Garage, to keep the Battery of the Vehicles Warm. Heck we even had to chip ice to get a Snowmobile out of 2 feet of snow. the horses need a Handwarmer in their water to keep it form freezing in 3 minutes.
