Congrats you guys! Bismo and Shotgun will once again ride in a '74! BEAUTY!! ;)

It sure jumped from the "bump." Obviously a few folks were watching this one, and not just from here, and "here" is Blues Brothers Central, and this is where the car belongs. :D

Shotgun ... I know how much you wanted to get back into a '74. Lots of folks say they want a Bluesmobile, and lots of cars have come and gone. When you asked me about the '75 in Edmonton, I knew ... yep, Shotgun is very serious about getting back into a Monaco Bluesmobile.

And now ... a 1974. :BB: I agree with 2FAB ... a pic of this Monaco with Bismo's Crown Vic will be a great pic indeed!

Oh ... almost forgot to mention ... the commission! LOL! Hey, it's true. When a member posts a car, and another member buys it ... the commission is $5.29. I hope the cheque for tk0826 is in the mail! Lol.

Congratulations, dudes!

Thanks, folks! Now the hard part, waiting until I can get behind the wheel (and ensuring she's as sound as she appears to be)... hopefully this weekend if we get the paperwork turned around quickly enough, otherwise the w/e following. Will be sure to get some photos up of course as soon as I can.

Hey Huey!
Do you have a line on a fuel door and a set of standard Monaco taillights?

I'm gonna be keeping a close eye out this year for a decent 74 as well to save. Thanks for keeping all these updates and postings going strong. It has helped me have hope that my time is coming as well. 74 CHP 440's are the rarest and my dream- congrats Huey on securing one. I'd be happy with any 74 police issue. Seeing as how the prices are within my budget, I'm looking forward to finding one.

Congrats Shotgun and Bis for keeping another one in the "family".

I agree,it helps me keep up the dream. In my case,I've got some things to take care of first, but I've decided once and for all that I'm getting one.My ultimate dream is to have a '74 Monaco sedan with the police package, and a '71 or older 440 under the hood, .030 over with a Holley 750 double-pumper,Touqueflite 727 trans with a shift kit,and some gearing setup for optimal gas mileage, and a kickass audio system hooked up (hidden of course) so I can blast Blues CDs while I'm rolling up Interstate 95 looking for.......something.....

(Not that I've thought about it or anything......http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum2/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_cool.gif)

That's my ultimate, but I'm willing to settle for a '74-'77 Monaco sedan I can work with.

Seeing this thread, and how many are still out there helps me keep up my spirits and my confidence that I will have one......soon.

Anybody out there got a driver's side post mount for a 6" unity spotlight for a '74 Dodge Monaco?
